Good place in Chinatown. The food is good, lots of seating, and they serve the food very quickly as well. I think this place is good for a quick bite, so if you're in the area I would recommend stopping by. The lamb cumin noodles are good!

The worst Xian food I've ever had. This is NOT Xian food, please! Service is bad too. Totally overcharged!

If you are looking for hand crafted noodles in Chinatown Manhattan, I would suggest you to give Xi'an a try. We order Spicy & Sour Pork & Cabbage Dumplings and Pork Zha Jiang Hamd Ripped noodles. It is the sauce that makes the dumplings outstanding. The spice is pungent. The hand ripped noodles were a little chewy, but still tastes decent. The kiosk machine was not functioning well and it took a little longer for assistance. Otherwise I would give a Five Star!

Indescribably delicious noodles!!! So perfect. Try the noodles with spicy oil if you want to concentrate on the noodles themselves!

I'd heard about this place for years, from Anthony Bourdain to their countless spots on various YouTube channels, so this was on my radar the moment I came to NYC. I got their signature dish - the spicy cumin lamb hand pulled noodles in sauce, and my brother got the pork hand pulled noodles in soup. I took mine with regular spice, he took his mild. Service was quick, we had our food ready within minutes, despite the fact that the noodles are ripped and cooked to order. Food: An absolute 10/10. The noodles are bouncy and chewy, the lamb is well seasoned and super tender, and the chili oil is delicious. And surprisingly, not that spicy. It seems like they use a lot of Sichuan peppercorns in their sauce, so you get that numbing, almost menthol-like sensation, which is always a treat. Even my brother, who cannot handle spicy food for the life of him, was able to enjoy it without running for water. The pork noodles were great too - broth was hot and flavorful, meat was fall-apart tender. We also got a couple bottles of their Sour Hawberry tea (seems like they make it themselves), and it was great. Tart, a little bit of sweetness, and perfect for people who like sour stuff (like me). Portion sizes are enormous, and for a dish that costs $13-14, it's incredible value. If I were more health conscious, I could probably have this across two meals and still be satisfied. The place looks like your average Chinatown sit down restaurant - long, cafeteria style metal tables, very unassuming ambiance. The tables are always wiped down, and the staff is really friendly. We got to the restaurant around half an hour before closing time, but they let us continue eating after they closed and did not make us feel pressured at all to leave. I'd recommend this to anyone in/going to NY, and I'll definitely be back here the next time I'm in the city.

While the noodles had a great texture, the flavor was not very complex and there was almost no pork. Not worth the wait.

Handmade noodles are a game changer, these ones were soft, chewy, bouncy, and had great density. The spice is not for the weak, so beware! Efficient service of food, and you bus your own trays when you’re done.A simple, affordable, fast and tasty meal out in china town.

Hand pulled spicy beef noodle and cucumber side dish were my favorite. My sisters ordered the lamb cumin noodle and they loved it. The lamb was tender. Everything tasted amazing! Probably our fav spot in NYC.

(Overall: A) - I tried the Beef Hand Pulled Noodles for the first time this weekend and was quite impressed by the plate of food. I found the "least spicy" option to be a good balance of flavors as you get a hint of numbing spice in the background while having the forwardness of the soy and noodle combination. The noodles are chewy and absorbs the flavor well, and the cabbage adds some relief to the rest of the dish. The beef was clearly not the emphasis of the dish, but was tender regardless. Further, despite being served on a paper plate, the food was not sloppily slapped on. Overall, this was a great value at $13 total. I would recommend ordering takeout, but the restaurant is quite spacious and has a bathroom, which beats the standard for Chinatown. -- Food: +2 Presentation: E Price: +1 Atmosphere: +1 Service: E Menu: +1 Overall: +5 A Insta/Beli: @amei_eats
