A literal dream! So delicious and so many options on their expansive menu. I really enjoyed this place for takeout and I would definitely go back again. Really has options for everyone!

Food was ok and there was a fish smell to the place . Fruit flies flying around . Not going back too many other choices in NYC

It was ok! The fish was ok Not very juicy and fresh. Also the Asian elderly guy with bald hair he is super super super rude! NOT FRIENDLY at all. This is my first time and last time. If he doesn't like his job just quick. I couldn't hear him very well at first. So I was like I'm sorry can you please reply? I didn't hear you. Then he raise up his rude voice and he showed his attitude. I was like what did I do? Why you are showing me your NASTY attitude?! Jesus, I will tell all my friends and I will NEVER return. Good luck and BYE Xoxo

Food just OK and staff is rather grumpy . Did not check Covid properly as they only checked for Vaccine and not ID.

Amazing food, mellow atmosphere and incredibly clean and quiet block. Yama has been around forever - still Love it. Sashimi is cut to perfection, on the bias and sushi rice delicious

The worst experience you can ask for in any kind of restaurant. Food was bad, fish was not fresh, (salmon was good) I wish I can give a zero star here. The waiter was extremely rude, check how much tips we gave right in front of us, then shake his head. We gave him only 15% tip, ( to be honest, I don’t think he deserves any tip) what do you expect when you don’t either respect your customers or your job?

Overall a bad experience. (feedback from an Asian guy)I ordered the unagi rice, eel was good but the rice was real bad. The rice was too moist and all sticked together. Like it’s a Japanese sushi place, the most basic thing is to make your rice taste good. Also the attitude of the waiter was real bad too. He checked the tip (15%) in front of me and shakes his head. I know 15% is on the lower end, but considering your food and attitude, you should be grateful.

Overall, extremely satisfying and filling! We both agree that the chicken teriyaki is better than the beef teriyaki, which is pretty good in itself. Waitress was helpful and attentive, and kept checking in to make sure we were enjoying the food. The prices are reasonable too. Get the plum wine for a little extra on the side!

The food is good, but the staff is rude. I don't appreciated being rushed to eat at 8:30 on a Thursday evening. They literally gave me a 30 minute last call order when they seated me. I've ordered throughout COVID to support them, but I will never go there again.

As a Japanese person I am picky about my sushi and absolutely love this spot. This is our neighborhood go to place for sushi. It's tucked away on Irving Street and has a very cozy atmosphere.

I ordered take out and it wasn’t what it was. I think they do not care about their quality anymore. Will not go or order from here anymore. Also the staff was not friendly or nice at all. It was a cold transactional conversation. I asked about specials and he said we have a lot of specials and stop talking. I have to pull a teeth to be able to get more details. Anyway very disappointed and not satisfied at all. Even my 8 years old son said this is not a good sushi.
