It seemed like they were very rushed and clearing things before we were finished. Also, they told us that the kitchen was closing so we need to hurry up and order anything else we wanted.

The pictured garden dining area, located in the back, is charming. For my main course I ordered the Arni Souvlaki which is what I would call a version of shish kebab served without a skewer. The lamb had little taste, as a result, I dipped the lamb pieces into the complimentary hummus that came with the bread to give it flavor. I had ordered the Arni Souvlaki to be cooked medium, but it was served medium well.

Everyday at Yefsi Estiatorio, Chef Katerina Efthymiadou brings to every table food that will make you feel you are in Greece. First order a couple cocktails to get the night started. Next order Yefsi Chips and Stifao, a braised octopus. Dip the eggplant and zucchini chips in the braised octopus sauce for a totally different taste. Since it’s Sarakosti fasting right before Easter, they brought out lagana bread with homemade hummus instead of pita bread. For entrees, try their Greek specialties on their special menu such as Yemista Piperies and Lahanodolmades. Very authentic and delicious. I used to come here sometimes and it was always fine i guess. Decent food and ok atmosphere. It had been a while since id gone back and after trying other greek options in the area and never feeling impressed with the food or ambiance, i decided to try Yefsi's again earlier this month. I am so so happy to say that i will be returning soon and often. Hoping to make this my go to spot. The food is perfectly cooked. The now have specials everyday. What a great energy in this place. I had such a good time. Wonderful staff and wine selection. I looked around at the diners and everyone was in a great mood. A real NYC gem. I cant wait to return. True authentic delicious greek dishes. I dont know what has changed but they really know what they are doing.

Finally made our way to this delicious restaraunt. We are fairly new residents on the upper east side and Had heard such good things. Did not disappoint. From the time we were greeted by the lovely hostess to our warm and attentative waitress, the appetizer and entrees were excellent. Every request was met. We will surely be frequenting more often. Thank you for a lovely night out.

Yefsi never fails. The menu is great with a large variety and the Greek food is delicious. It's a mellow atmosphere which is nice for a night out in the neighborhood and you don't have to scream over other people to hear your company. The back room is very pretty as well. The staff is attentive, and very friendly.

Yefi has great food. I've been here a few times and I've never been disappointed. The waiters are all great. Very efficient and friendly. Love the atmosphere in the garden Last time I was there it was my birthday and I was given a lovely parfait. Love this place!

I rarely feel compelled to write reviews. The restaurant needs to be OUT OF THE PARK good. I’m Greek and know good Greek food. This is GOOOOD Greek food!My sister, boyfriend and I made our way over here after a day at the Museum of Natural History. We ordered a bunch of plates to share. Here’s what we ordered:FOOD -AVGOLEMONO SOUP: 10/10. Super lemony. Tender white meat chicken. Ask for a little cracked pepper on top. I didn’t want it to end.YEFSI CHIPS: 9/10. These were delicious. I prefer my zucchini crisps a little thinner, but that’s just personal preference. They were still perfectly crispy.PAIDAKIA (lamb lollipops): 10/10. Cooked perfectly. Lemon potatoes on side were like butter.KEFTEDES (meatballs): 10/10. Literally out of this world. SO flavorful. Ask them to be cooked the Greek way. This dish was probably our favorite of the night.DRINKS -APHRODITE’S MULE: (10/10). This was SO SO GOOD. Highly recommend. Refreshing and not overly sweet. Unique, great twist on a mule.FRAPPE: (10/10). Unsure why my boyfriend got a frap at 7pm, but he said it was very good!DESSERT -KARIDOPITA: (10/10). Literally phenomenal. Just like my Yiayia used to make. Didn’t want it to end.GALAKTOBOUREKO: (7/10). I’m picky with galaktoboureko. This was still very good and had all the right flavors and consistency. I just like mine warm w/ a little more vanilla flavor.Great ambience. Fast, friendly service. Highly recommend for amazing Greek food! This will no doubt be a new regular for me!

the restaurant was very warm, but otherwise we had a great experience! perhaps slightly overpriced, but would be a great place to come for a drink and a couple appetizers to share.

Food was pretty good. The calamari was fried very well and the sauce was amazing. It was 99% o rings and there were 2 tentacles. It was fairly empty but overall was a pleasant experience.

The food is always excellent, but the service was really lacking on this visit. I literally had to get up several times to find our server to request things because she literally never came to check on us.

The pikilia spread, horiatiki (Greek salad), bifteki (seasoned patties) and the small dessert platter were all well executed. The interior has been tastefully decorated for the holiday season. The dining area at the back seemed drafty. If you get easily cold, I suggest you get a table up front or around the bar.

For my initial takeout experience at this restaurant, I opted for the Marouli Salad. It truly impressed me with its ample portion, delightful flavors, and a delicious dressing featuring the right balance of feta. I'm eager to reorder for takeout and explore dining in at the restaurant!
