Match the quality of the restaurants in Guangzhou where the original restaurant from. Fun is smooth, beef tastes great and liver is tender. Service is great. Price is very reasonable.
I had this shop saved for quite awhile because it has such high ratings and promising reviews. I loved eating rice roll growing up. Stopped by here to finally try it and was very excited. Well, the disappointment settled in very quickly.
1. They serve water in 2 ounce disposable paper cups, the ones you use at the dentist’s office. It’s a restaurant where they serve you and you tip, yet they can’t even give you water in proper drinking cups.
2. The fried dough stick was expensive and it wasn’t even the full stick. They chopped it into several pieces. Put them together and it’s about the length of half a stick.
3. Just about everything had iceberg lettuce in it. Congee had lettuce. Every rice roll had lettuce. It’s just weird.
4. About the rice roll. I think this place had two pieces in one dish, but they were big. So big that it was more like a burrito. Not in a good way though. There was more filling than the rice roll itself. Normally I wouldn’t complain if there was a lot of filling in any food, but that filling was 50% lettuce! Mind you, the menu doesn’t mention anything about there being lettuce in any of the dishes. I wanted pork and chives rice roll, not pork, lettuce, and 5 diced chives. That piece of lettuce pretty much ate up the entire rice roll dish. I’m very upset about that.
5. Cash only. I don’t mind, but they charged tax. Usually cash only spots don’t tack on the tax.
It really was a waste of time and money coming here. It’s been awhile since I’ve felt this much disappointment from food. Sure enough, I am not returning to this place.
Decent spot for rice rolls. A bit more expensive than other spots but twice as big!
Love this place! It’s my go to whenever I’m craving rice rolls. The staff are very kind and attentive

My friend and I went to this place based on their good ratings on Google. We ordered porridge, Chinese fried curlers, soy milk, and milk tea. The service was prompt. The porridge and the milk tea were delicious. However, beware that they might be passing counterfeit money. My friend paid cash with $100 bill (our bill was just under $20). They gave us change in $50 bill and other smaller denominations. My friend only realized that the $50 bill was a counterfeit way after we left Chinatown. What a total disappointment! So please beware when you receive change from them.

Extremely terrible. The waiter is so rude and will force you to take out rather than dine in after you are seated. Avoid if you can!

Food is good but be aware of their check scam. Double check your bill. They try to double charge tip, plus price on menu is different than the price you pay.

Life is short. F….it up! Family, Flavor, Friends
Was an NYC this weekend went to Chinatown and was looking for a place for breakfast. I I knew that Chang fen was a trendy type of food that was spreading across the north east and we happen to be right across the street so we decided to try it. Place very trendy place representing a traditional Hong Kong eatery for breakfast cash only so don’t forget so we got a bunch of different rice rolls . We have a beef and chive traditional shrimp, a chicken mushroom and a peanut sauce one. All came out super fresh and fast piping hot. So what make the rice rolls really good number one freshness number two texture of the rice roll number three quality ingredients number four perfectly balanced soy sauce. But the highlight was for me the peanut sauce rice roll. I thought this is probably one of the best I’ve ever had super nutty. Taste like peanut butter melted most sauces or water down. This was nuts and had a sweet hoisin sauce mixed in with perfect balance. Top it off with Sesame seeds and you’re done.
