It was such a great experience eating at Yoon Haeundae Galbi.
The server was extremely helpful in answering all our questions about the food, drinks, and eating protocol. We loved watching as she unraveled the marinated steak we ordered from around its bone and placed the meat on the heated iron bowl. It was fun to try different combinations of the toppings for a variety of tasty flavors that ran the full range of the pallet. So diverse and delicious!

The only, very minor, complaint was that our server was a little too eager to get us to buy more food than we wanted. It was borderline pushy and a little uncomfortable, like she was annoyed that we weren't ordering more every other time that she asked how we were doing. She was great in every other aspect of her service, so I don't want to diminish her effort. But like I said, a very minor complaint for what was otherwise an awesome culinary experience.

Five star for our server, Yoon! She was so attentive, helpful and friendly. She made the BBQ perfectly, shared stories about the patented knife HQ created, and showed the best way to enjoy each dish. She made our dinner special. Cuts were great (apparently from Omaha!): no wonder this place is on top 100 restaurants per NYT several years in a row.

Authentic South Korean food -- their sister restaurant is in Busan. Staff is knowledgeable and attentive. Not a bad bite in an extensive meal shared with a group. Delicious.

This is a Korean BBQ restaurant with a long history in Korea. The restaurant is well appointed and serves traditional fare. The good feature of this place is that the staff cooked the meats for you so that the meats are cooked to perfection. Overall a good experience

The honest feeling I had today was that I don't know where they get their beef from, but raw beef ribs might not be this delicious. There was no meat flavor at all, it was plain, and there was no taste of beef at all. I think there was at least one serving of meat left. The raw fish was so-so and the soybean paste stew was below average. It was a day when I cracked my stereotype that Korean food in New York is unconditionally superior to Korea. I'm worried that people in other countries will define this as the taste of Korean beef.
