Great vibe but we caught tail end of the food service so we didn't get to try too much before the tables were cleared and the night life kicked into full gear. Great vibes and crowd!

The inside of the restaurant was thunderously loud so we headed outside where we could at least talk to each other. The tuna ceviche was interesting but I would have preferred it if it was spicier. The causa was fantastic.

The Mohitoes and food was great. The restaurant vibe was good. The servers were courteous and professional.

Yuca Bar has been around for ages and it's easy to see why. It's been consistently delicious over the years, providing great quality food, super friendly service, and a nice ambiance that has a bit of old-school East Village left to it. We live a block away and, admittedly, hadn't been for a long time, but it was so nice tonight that I'm reminded why I always liked it, and plan to go back more often. The red sangria is delicious - I used to have their secret recipe - it has a real kick to it! Our niece had the fish tacos and said they were great, and my husband had the paella and it was really delicious. For example, the calamari had been grilled, giving them real charred flavor and not just limp rubber rings - it was excellent. And the service couldn't have been nicer. It was fairly busy but not crowded, and the mood was just right for a Sunday night meal. An old standby that has aged very well, it's an asset to have Yuca Bar in our neighborhood.

The Host was very nice and tried to accommodate my preferences. The server was also very nice. The drinks were great. The menu is geared to meat and chicken eaters with very little for vegetarians or pescarians and they do not make ANY changes to the menu at all. Not a restaurant to ask for any flexibility or substitutions. I think this great spot that is geared to your college aged crowd, with basic food and good music, which is fine for that. If you are a more mature discriminating diner, this might not be the place for you.

I'm never disappointed when I go to Yuca Bar! Food and drinks are always consistent! All the servers were great! True professional! Thank you!

We loved the vibe here. The bright decor is mixed with moody lighting and Latin music, creating a space that feels like you stepped out of the east village. Drinks were even better than anticipated, with great prices on happy hour until 8pm. Food was good, lacking a bit of spice in my opinion and chicken was a little dry, but overall solid options. They didn't rush us, and we sat and enjoyed for a couple hours. Would recommend.

Drinks and food were great but the service was so slow given there wasn't even that many people there.

Excellent outdoor area. Great happy hour and good was all really good. And I'm serious about quality food.

I've been coming to Yuca Bar for many years. It had been a while but it did not disappoint. The wait staff could not have been nicer. The ambience is beautiful. The food and drinks were delicious.

I have been to this location many times in the past but this time it was definitely disappointing. First, they could not find my reservation. They eventually sat us in the back near the two loudest individuals! The two other adult women with their child spent the entire time cursing and speaking very loudly. At one point their child began to bounce a ball right next to the table. Despite a number of patrons looking at the table and being visibly bothered, the staff did nothing to address the table and their disruptive behaviors. As for the for the food, my husband and I ordered the steak and eggs. While the food was not bad, the steak did have a charred taste, despite requesting that it be made “medium.” The empanadas were very good as well as the yuca fries and red sangria. The experience was not the best but I am hopeful they will do better our next visit.

I've dined at Yuca Bar a handful of times before, but this recent evening felt rushed - our dishes came out cold, we barely finished our meal before our check was handed over (60 min into a 90 min reservation), and we only had the opportunity to have 1 drink during happy hour. Our waiter didn't tell us the happy hour specials, rather the bus boy (shout out to him!). So would I recommend, no - not if you're looking to enjoy a semi decent meal in under an hour.

The host was so great he actually had us seated about 10-15 min before our initial reservation time. Our waiter was also very informative and the food/drinks were great.

Food was good, but the items are a bit of a mixed bag. For example, we really enjoyed the plantains and ribs, but the steak was a bit chewy and the arepa texture was a little off. But honestly, if you go during HH, all of the tapas are 30% off, so it's totally worth it in my opinion.

Atmosphere is very lively and trendy. Can be great if you're looking for that, but if you aren't, it can be loud/overwhelming.

Staff was great! No notes.

The food was good. I was in a party of 8 and they had 3 small tables placed together. I felt the party should have been seated in a different location since reservations were made days in advanced.
