Perfectly adequate for what it is - a tiny, hole in the wall sushi restaurant. The fish was fresh, and the owners were very kind and appreciative for my business. I would definitely eat here again

IF I CAN GIVE 0 STARS I WOUKD .I was excited to get Sushi and wanted to try this place because it was close by. There's nothing Yu.my about this place. I knew I should of got up and left when I kept hearing a microwave go off in side the kitchen. The food is not fresh. The rice is bland. I order shrimp tempura, and didn't get that at all. I got some other stuff that I don't know what it is. The soup looks disgusting. A WASTE OF $12.50. Save your money and go somewhere else. No I have to place another order because this school looking lunch tray they gave isn't cutting it. Don't come here.

I would really like to give it no stars. They delivered the wrong order and refused to give me a credit. They wanted me to come back to the store and return the food to them even though it would take me 45 minutes. Horrible customer service. Never order there again

Wanted to support a local business so I stopped in for some sushi. Sushi is my favorite food and this is like two blocks from my apartment, so it was finally time for me to try it. I paid $29 for rock shrimp and a spicy girl roll. Unfortunately neither were even decent and I ended up throwing out the food after a few bites. The sushi was not balanced, the rice was bland, and the fish wasn't as fresh as I'd like. The texture of the tuna just wasn't right. The rock shrimp was breaded in a tasteless batter, not seasoned whatsoever. It also wasn't crispy at all. The sauce provided with it looks like plum sauce but tastes like a watered down sweet vinegar.. I really hate to be this negative! I really wanted to like this place but they have ways to go, and I just don't want others to spend their hard-earned money on not-cheap food that isn't good.

I just walked out of this restaurant after having been a regular customer for many years. I read on the menu that the lunch bento was supposed to come with super and salad, so I asked the woman working there if the menu was correct. She told me yes, soup and salad. I told her that I only received soup the last two times, and she replied "no problem, that's okay." No, it is not okay. The least she could do would be to apologize and promise to get my order correct in the future. I then proceeded to place my order, asking for the salmon lunch bento with brown rice. She told me that the lunch bento only comes with white rice. I have been a customer since the restaurant opened and I have always received brown rice with my meals. I left. It is obvious to me that this restaurant no longer wants my business. I will try the restaurant again one more time, and if the service is still poor, I will not return until the people that used to work there are hired back. The previous workers never got my order wrong or refused to give me brown rice.

Yummy Japanese Grill & Sushi Bar is an excellent, and I highly recommend it. Honestly great value for the price. I will have to admit, Teriyaki Lunch Bento was really outstanding. I think that I might have a new favorite dish now. Incredibly courteous, attentive and experienced. Yet I definitely recommend Yummy Japanese Grill & Sushi Bar.
Have ordered from them twice before and enjoyed the food. Last time my container of about three regular sushi rolls had a hair in it. Called them to complain and ask for a new order and they asked me which exact roll had a hair in it so they could make me just one piece of the roll. Are you kidding me?! The entire box is contaminated with YOUR chef's greasy hair. When I pushed back, they told me they'd make me a new order. When I arrived, they only made me one handroll. I will not be returning. Poor service and unclean. There are way too many options in new york, especially UES. Akami sushi is right across the street from them and cleaner.

I ordered calamari and i received a very small order and also an avocado salad that was iceberg lettuce with avocado (shredded carrots) no tomato, one piece of cucumber ... total order 20 dollars and a total rip off. On top of that i feel sick to my stomach and I didnt even eat it all because it didn't taste good

This is hands-down the best sushi we've had delivered in our neighborhood. Everything was fresh, quality, and expertly made. The order was on time, and they even threw in some Japanese candy is for dessert! Will 100% order again; this is definitely our new go-to sushi place.
