My two friends and I dropped in here spontaneously while walking home one night and we had the most wonderful experience. Reuben and his mother were working there and it’s been a family run business for over 25 years. Reuben shared his food with us (literally) and told us lots of stories about the East village over the years. I had a very delicious steak burrito and the three different salsas are so good. Highly recommend coming by here!! Wonderful food and conversation. It felt like we had stopped by a friend’s house!
This place is a hidden gem! The burritos are absolutely amazing 😍
I'm so glad i found this authentic mexican place. Born and raised in California it's hard to find stores in Manhattan that sell mexican ingredients to cook a authentic mexican meal. Usually you have to travel to Brooklyn or Queens . This store is so convenient because it's close to home.
The owner is the sweetest. So friendly and helpful. Going here made my day!
The guy who owns zaragoza might be my favorite person in the east village. He's so friendly, I'm always annoying and can't decide what to get so we play a question and answer game until he whips something up, he doesn't charge nearly as much as he should, it's always a party in there and I'm always overwhelmingly happy w my meal. Best Mexican in nyc
Coming from someone raised in Mexico and its style of food, this was prob one of the best Mexican places I’ve had in the US. Massively recommend and pretty good price for Manhattan. The people running it are also very kind and chill.
This is a two tortilla type of place +++cat my tastebuds ascended to heaven after eating the al pastor taco
super nice guy running this place! gave us the extra mole to try for free. def give this place a visit!
Passed by this place many times over five years and finally went in last night. The folks at the counter are just lovely. My partner and I ordered nachos and a burrito. Super tasty and inexpensive for the amount of food we received. I will be back more often.
I love veggie tacos from Zaragoza! Too often they don’t have avocado though and I think it’s a bit ridiculous that a Mexican place doesn’t.
