I tried their rugelach for the first time. They were okay, a bit dry to my taste. The pastry itself was light and flaky. However, the inside was like chocolate brown, but on the dry side. The sugar on the top was a nice touch. Overall, it was okay. Probably wouldn’t try it again.

I had a problem with a purchase yesterday and contacted what I thought was customer service. A member of the Zaros Family personally contacted me to apologize and rectify the matter. I was so impressed and feel very valued as a customer. They definitely have a customer for life.
Dishonest administration. Instead of butter they put MARGARINE on the bagels. It is not butter. This is misleading and unethical. Margarine is way cheaper than butter.
Excellent Customer Service. Thank you Zara’s Family Bakery on upper & lower levels of NYC Grand Central Station. Appreciate your diligence!

The bald guy is a disgrace - horrible and rude but he has been there so long and if you search the internet people have been complaining. They must not care. The people downstairs or near track 20 are great and professional.

First, the staff is absolutely not friendly. Secondly, the coffee is disgusting. I ordered a cappuccino, and they just poured me boiled milk.

Got the coffee that is specifically called Colombian. What I got was brown water. This is why I stick to Star…but could not find it at this train station. Should have kept looking for it.

I get large orders here for my office maybe 5 or 6 times a year. Their stuff is generally high quality and affordable. I especially love their fudge brownies and black & white cookies.

Latte is not real expresso, it's from a automated vending machine that taste is distinctly different and over $8 for a fake signature latte is crazy... Stick to a regular coffee or try their bakery foods, maybe that is better....

Missed my initial train and had some extra time to pass at grand central. I decided to stop at Zaro’s for a latte and chocolate croissant as it was one of the first places open at 6:30. I wanted to take time to write that José who was taking orders and running pastry had wonderful energy and was so pleasant! As someone who personally handled a long week in food service for the holiday and was running on minimal sleep before traveling to family, it was refreshing to encounter someone with such an upbeat attitude first thing in the morning. I know this team must have seen so many people while they traveled to see family and friends this weekend, so I felt that this was above and beyond. I Qhope Zaro’s appreciates the extra effort he is putting into interacting with the grand central customers, as it’s not an easy venue!
I have not yet tried my croissant, though my latte made by one of the other employees is delicious. I would definitely stop again next time I’m traveling!
