Food was strictly OK. Nothing outstanding. The portion sizes were fine but nothing worth all the hype that we heard about this place.
The baba ghanoush was not up to par and neither was the hummus.

I came to dinner with a friend who was there the night before as well he said the service wasn't good but he loved the food. The service was really slow and it was Sunday night the restaurant wasn't even busy so not sure why everything took so long. Food was good at best. I personally probably won't be back, More because of the service not the food... The decor was the best thing I thought in this restaurant...

They serve small plates great for sharing. We got the chicken skewers, (overcooked and way too dry), beef meatballs, (tasty, complex sauce,) beet salad, (good mix of flavors), and asparagus (served with another yummy complimentary sauce.) For dessert, we got the chocolate souffle cake, (also overcooked - the molten center was completely solid and the cake was very dry, almost crusty. We also got a cream filled pastry, which was excellent. The server described it as very sweet, but it was the perfect balance of savory and sweet.

I'd considered ordering the scallops, but I smelled them as they were delivered to another table, and the fishyness was overwhelming. It made me think they weren't very fresh.

The service began as very attentive, but after we ordered dessert, our server disappeared. As for the atmosphere, the decor was interesting, especially the lighting, but we thought it was bizarre that such a large restaurant had one unisex bathroom. I found another much larger mukti-person bathroom on the second floor, but it was a hike.

I won't go back again.

It was a high price to pay for mid food. Small serving sizes.

We paid 200 across three people with just 1 drink

We have been to Zaytinya several times, both at the bar and seated at a table; both are great options.

As a general rule, you don't have to wait long before hot pita bread shows up along with olive oil with a pomegranate molasses mixed in, which is a super traditional Middle Eastern offering, and it's pretty addictive.

If you're at the bar, be sure to order a dip or two. If you are dining in, you can't go wrong, but my go-to would be the lamb chops.

The wines by the glass are not cheap; a sauvignon blanc will set you back $24, so I would go for the bottle list quickly, as there is better value there.

It's a great place, you will pay for quality, but the service and the room are both exceptional, so it's worth the few extra shekels.

We came here for brunch on Sunday and we had an amazing experience. Service was excellent. It was our first time here and we ordered what our waitress recommended, and the food was amazing.

I have visited this restaurant twice — once for dinner and once for lunch — and both experiences were disappointing in terms of service. On both occasions, the staff rushed us through the meal. Our main courses were brought out before we had even finished our appetizers, and before we were halfway through the main dishes, dessert was physically thrown in front of us. This kind of service is completely unacceptable, especially at a high-end NYC establishment.

While the interior is undeniably beautiful, the food itself is mediocre — and I say that as someone who is Mediterranean and knows the cuisine well.

I was there for brunch.

The staff is aware of celiac disease and gluten allergy, so they can recommend the dishes that are naturally gluten free, although cross contamination in different levels can happen. That being said, I didn’t had any reaction.
They can replace the pita that would come with the dishes for gluten free toasts. T

The food is amazing. Just the portions are very small. I really don’t recommend getting the halloumi as the portion size was a bite - literally.

I visited Zaytinya for brunch, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The menu offered a refreshing take on Eastern Mediterranean flavors, and everything we ordered was thoughtfully prepared and beautifully presented.

We started with the hommus, which was incredibly smooth and flavorful—creamy, rich, and served with warm, pillowy pita bread. The octopus Santorini was tender and delicately charred, with a bright, citrusy finish that really stood out as a brunch dish. I loved how balanced it was—light yet satisfying.

The cheese pide was a warm, cheesy flatbread that felt like the perfect comfort food, with a crisp crust and melty interior. One of my favorites was the crispy Brussels Afelia—deeply caramelized Brussels sprouts tossed with bold spices and just the right amount of acidity. It added a unique twist to the brunch spread and was bursting with flavor.

The atmosphere was lively yet relaxed, with elegant décor and a modern Mediterranean feel. It’s a beautiful space for a weekend brunch, whether you’re catching up with friends or just enjoying a slow morning. Service was friendly and attentive—our server took time to explain the dishes and checked in at just the right moments.

Overall, Zaytinya delivered a brunch experience that was both elevated and approachable. The food, service, and ambiance all came together perfectly. Highly recommend for anyone looking to enjoy a flavorful, upscale brunch in a stylish setting.

We had such a pleasant time at Zaytinya. I was really excited to try their beautiful hummus, and the taste and the texture did not disappoint. The bread basket was surprisingly very satisfying. The bread looked like a cracker but it was in fact tender with the right proportion of crispiness. The octopus was cooked to perfection and we very much enjoyed the puree that it came with. I could go on and on about how much I am so contented with the meal and the coffee! The halloumi may not be to our liking, but well that should not be a reason to take any star out of this review. Will save Zaytinya in our to-go list for a special occasion.
