Recently went and ordered the Nachos. The presentation was poor and it tasted like the Taco Bell Nacho Bell Grande.
Moscow Mule was just as bad.

I love mezcal, so I was thrilled when we stumbled upon this place.
The interior design is gothic and beautiful, which immediately sets the mood for the evening.
There is a large selection of cocktails and flights, so it was hard to pick which drink to try tonight.
I ended up getting the Mamango (i think) and it was delicious. Smokey and mango đ but if youâre not a mezcal person then it will taste like a cigarette (according to my partner). Not to worry, as there are plenty of tequila drinks, and they also have some beer and vodka.
I canât wait to come back and try something new!

Really nice ambience
Look there are good mix drinkers and great mix drinkers. This guy tonight killed it. The food is good too but had to much earlier. Well mix and mix well is a difference and if you come here you will understand the difference

It was a cold night, and we were warmly welcomed by Alina to settle into the upstairs nook. I went with one of the weirdest cocktails that stood out - Spicy Rabbit. It tasted like mezcal V8, which I totally enjoyed, but my friends found it a bit too healthy. My partnerâs Mexican Porn Star was a popular hit! The service was friendly, the bar was cozy, and the cocktail menu was creative. Will return again on the weekends when the live music is playing!

My visit to Mayamezcal was a memorable night out in the East Village. The bar is tucked away at 304 E 6th Street and gives off that cool, slightly hidden-gem vibe right from the entrance.
Once inside, the decor struck me â warm lighting, Mexican-inspired tile and wood accents, and a comfortable bar area where you can see the cocktails being crafted.
The drinks are definitely a highlight. They specialize in mezcal and tequila, with over 60 varieties mentioned on the menu.
I tried a creative cocktail that blended smokiness with citrus and found it more interesting than your typical bar drink. The bartender was knowledgeable and offered a really solid recommendation.
The food matched the drinks nicely. We shared some small plates â the guacamole and chips were fresh, and the trio tacos hit the spot. The menu shows things like chipotle honey salmon and hearty quesadillas if youâre feeling something more substantial.
Service was friendly and attentive; we felt welcome and well-taken care-of. The noise level was comfortable (not whisper quiet, but lively enough to enjoy the atmosphere without shouting).
If I were to pick two things that held me back from giving 5 stars:
The price point is on the higher side (for both drinks and food) â youâre paying for the ambiance and craft.
While the place isnât oversized, it can get busy later in the evening, so if you prefer a quieter setting it might be better to go earlier.
Bottom line: If youâre after a stylish night out with topâtier agave spirits, inventive cocktails, and good Mexican food in a fun East Village spot, Mayamezcal is a strong bet.

This was one of the best experiences we have ever had in NYC. Alina and Sebastian were two or the most wonderful people. We celebrated a birthday and they went above and beyond . Drinks and food were 10out of 10

Rodrigo was an outstanding server. Extremely hospitable, respectful, and patient throughout our visit. He made sure our order was perfectly accurate and checked in with us just the right amount. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the overall experience was wonderful. Weâll definitely be coming back!

This place was amazing, from the atmosphere to the drinks I couldnât recommend it enough!!! We passed this place and I love mezcal so I had to go in and by far one of the best cocktails Iâve had in New York. We were also informed about their zero proof tequila which was so cool because my sister in law
is pregnant and something like that as a mocktail is really impressive!
The people here are kind, the drinks are delicious and if you havenât been youâre missing out, highly recommend!!

This is a great date spot! The atmosphere is great- the decor and space feels like a historic Mexican restaurant. The drinks are way better than the food was but we would definitely come back for some drinks! Service was great.

Was a cute bar. They have two indoor spots that are right next to each other. They also have a lovely outdoor area. Drinks were decently priced and the white wine was lovely.

You'd expect an Hispanic place to be spiced up with the food, but the food was very bland.
