They take ingredients out after weighing. On both times I came, I noticed I was missing items I paid for. The first time I thought it was an accident, the second time it seemed deliberate (4 quail eggs when I put in 8, etc) . Check the other reviews--others have mentioned this as well.

I visited the store today, and it will be my last time. The front desk staff, who appeared to be the manager, was incredibly rude to a delivery man. I was shocked by her lack of basic respect and professionalism.
An older delivery man, who was picking up food at the counter, spoke English to the front desk. He was Chinese, and the front desk woman snapped at him, saying, "Why are you speaking English to me? You can speak Chinese, why don’t you speak Chinese to me?" Her tone wasn’t curious—it was impatient and hostile.
I don’t understand why she felt the need to give the delivery man such a hard time. Everyone deserves respect, and it’s really not her place to question someone’s language choice. It was an unnecessary confrontation, and honestly, very disappointing to witness. Very uncomfortable and shame on here..!!!!

I had a terrible experience at this restaurant. The food is ridiculously overpriced for what you get, and the quality is shockingly bad. I got the marinated beef, and it was absolutely disgusting. It had a sour taste, clearly indicating that it had gone bad.
To make matters worse, the rest of the food was far from fresh. It seemed like it had been sitting out for a while. Even though I was just picking up a takeout order, they still had the nerve to ask for a tip, which is completely unreasonable considering the poor quality of both the food and the service. I won’t be coming back and would not recommend this place to anyone.

Got food poisoning from either the beef balls or tripe. Got the broth hot pot instead of the dry hot pot. I suspect the ingredients were not cooked all the way. I wouldn’t come here again.

Choose your own adventure at Zhang Liang: you choose the ingredient that you want (an assortment of hotpot meats, veggies, and noodles) and you pay what it weighs. Wasn’t a huge fan of the actual hotpot but the dry pot was delicious!!

The taste of the soup is very tasty! It looks a lot like the Hot Pot Dragon in Australia. I loved it. I recommend it 100%.
My friend and I chose to serve ourselves. We got the fresh ingredients from the open refrigerator using clean picks and clean bows. The bowls were weighed before served requests our base soup to be mushroom soup and original mild spicy respectfully. The food was delicious and has some leftovers which we took home. The price was reasonable. We spent a combined $36+ with a tip.

Pretty good location! After visiting the Zhang Liang in Montreal, this place definitely held up! Had a few more options, and was a little cheaper! 4 stars because I’ve heard weird things about their tipping policy, but they did provide pretty full table service so I thought it deserved a full tip.
