Ordered from FanTuan Delivery, but the restaurant didn't take the order even after the time limit passed, so it got automatically refunded. Called them too, but the line was not in service. Why wouldn't they take orders or answer calls when they're open? That's ridiculous

I had high expectations for this restaurant based on the recommendations, but unfortunately, it fell far short. My friends and I were the only table dining there today, which made the poor service even more surprising.

We ordered four dishes in total, all of which were labeled as popular or highly recommended. However, the quality was disappointing. The crispy pork (锅包肉)was excessively sour and didn’t resemble the traditional flavor it’s known for. Another vegetable dish we ordered was overwhelmingly salty, making it difficult to enjoy.

For the price—$30-$40 per person—it felt like a poor value. With the same budget, there are plenty of other restaurants offering better food and service. I wouldn’t recommend this place based on my experience.

it is easy to miss this place—they are to the left of the thai place, big OPEN sign. it looks plain and unassuming but they have the best chinese food i've had in this part of town. i've been there 20+ times and have never been disappointed. except one time when a friend had peanut allergies, i would be very careful if you have strong allergies

get the beef/lamb skewers!!! they're the best!!

other great dishes: enoki mushrooms, chives (the BEST), garlic eggplant, chicken gizzard

As a native Chinese Northerner, I can say the barbecue here is the most authentic in all of New York—good enough to rival the flavors from my hometown.

It tastes good, but it’s a bit annoying to have a child next to me who keeps making retching sounds while eating.

The food here is so authentic! I absolutely loved the spicy crab, sweet potato, sliced potato, and BBQ. The tanghulu is a must-try! Ice cream is wonderful! I’ll definitely be back for more!

I used to go there because the previous boss was so enthusiastic and I felt like I was going to eat in a Northeastern restaurant as soon as I walked in. The current boss has a bad attitude. There are two kids running around as waiters. The kids can only serve tea and water, but as a restaurant service, there is no hope. Pay your waiters to stop using child labor.

One of the few Chinese restaurants near the school. Ordered skewers and stinky tofu. Cost $100+ for two people
Stinky tofu has soup. In fact, let’s not talk about whether there is soup or not. The taste is really hard to describe. So are the skewers. Explosive and thunderous. 🙂‍↔️

Came on strong recommendation from friend; had allergic reaction even after consulting with staff. I would recommend if not for the poor experience in communication about allergy issues.

The Northeastern pulled pork ribs and soy sauce stick bones are quite delicious.

The mutton soup tastes good, but there is a bit less mutton.

There is a lot of sugar in the chicken rack and barbecue, so the taste is sweet. A pot of glutinous corn is put in the Northeast.

On a weekday night, it was still raining, so there were not many people dining in. The store is relatively compact.
