Beautiful space. On last visit (menu changes frequently) tuna tartar and artichokes were standouts; latkes were kind of a soggy miss. Definitely recommend for a brunch spot

The service was excellent, and with the exception of a couple items (bronzino was slightly bitter due to being grilled, filet mignon was a bit tough), everything was great. Chef's menu was an amazing value.

I really wanted to like this place but I left very underwhelmed by the quality of the food. The place has no identity - it's quasi-mediterranean, I think, but things that are called Tabboule or Fattoush are actually something totally different. Prices are very high which doesn't help but if you have had real Lebanese, Israeli, Moroccan or other real authentic dishes that this place is trying to replicate or tweak, it will leave you very unsatisfied.

Great staff and cool atmosphere. The food is good but quite rich and portions are large. As such, order carefully! But everything is great to take home.

The food was so delicious and well presented...we sat at the chef bar and watched the magic happen. We loved it

Great place for business, after work, date night, or celebration meals. The food is great and atmosphere is lovely.

The food was excellent. Service even better. The young woman who waited on us was attentive & knowledgeable. The sommelier made our experience even more enjoyable by discussing wines with us. Will definitely go back

This place was better during it's first year of operation and seems to have slipped a bit. Entrees were all good: steak au poivre kabob, lobster kabob, branzino, and lamp chops. Charred Broccoli was practically inedible because it was so spicy and there was so much stuff piled on top of it (bread crumbs? nuts?). We came early at 5:45 PM and restaurant was practically empty, yet the hostess sat us in a far corner near the restroom, so not great ambience. The food is overpriced - $475 for 4 of us with 1 drink each.

Love the food here. Reco the chef's tasting to sample everything! FYI come hungry it's A LOT of food regardless of what you get. Favorites — 5 dips assortment, any of the kebabs, the red cabbage salad, broccoli (little spicy), the duck... though not for everything was amazing to try (comes in a pastry!)

Zou Zou is a very good Mediterranean restaurant, nice space, attentive and friendly staff. I did think it was overpriced and I eat out in NYC a lot so I do not live in an unrealistic state of what appropriate pricing is.

It takes a while to get service for a table of 5. We waited 15mins before getting taken our orders. All else was okay.

The worst dining experience I’ve had in New York.
1. The visit began with the most unwelcoming hostess. I saw her serve others and wasn’t much different. Didn’t even acknowledge people when exiting.
2. All main dish were overloaded with lemon, completely overpowering the flavors.
3. Service was terrible—no follow-up from the staff. I had to get up and find a server myself, even though we were seated right next to the kitchen. The lack of attentiveness was shocking.
4. One main dish was burnt, which the restaurant manager personally came over and acknowledged. And other than this occasion, I have only made one dish returned in my life. I try to be reasonable and I have worked in food industry.
5. I will acknowledge that they offered to cook the main dish again and did so and offered fries that we did not request. But it could not outweigh the terrible experience prior. In acknowledgment, we still tipped.

We visited for New Year’s Day lunch, and it felt like no one wanted to be there. While it could have been a bad day, the combination of multiple service and kitchen failures makes me think this is not an isolated issue. Their relatively low rating makes sense despite the appealing interior and well-presented dishes. Without those two elements, this would likely be under a 3.5-star restaurant. Decide what matters most to you before dining here.

Last night I visited the restaurant with friends, looking forward to a great evening, but unfortunately, our experience was tainted by incredibly rude service. The female bartender was dismissive, unprofessional, and made it clear she had no interest in serving us. We felt unwelcome and completely ignored, which is unacceptable for a place with such high expectations and prices.
