Your Staff was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. The customer service experience is on point. The restaurant week was surprisingly very good and it made me order more dishes on top of what we ate.

The food was delicious. We had shishito peppers, lobster, salmon, sushi, and some vegetables. Everything was cooked to perfection, but portions are very small. The place is quite expensive for what you get. The restaurant was also very loud, but very beautiful and trendy.

One of my absolute favorite high-end Japanese cuisine spots in Midtown Manhattan-this place never misses. I booked reservations for New Year's Eve before heading out to celebrate afterward, and it was my boyfriend's first time dining here. He enjoyed everything, but the dessert completely stole the show. What looked like a simple scoop of ice cream turned out to be fried sweet yam chunks paired with sweet potato and banana ice cream—unexpected, creative, and so delicious. Easily a standout and something we're still talking about. The food is consistently a 10/10, which is why I keep coming back. The quality, flavors, and presentation are always on point. Service was solid at about 9/10. The only hiccup was experiencing several different servers throughout the evening without much explanation or greeting during the transitions. Still, everyone was professional and attentive overall. If you're looking for an upscale, high-quality Japanese dining experience, whether you're treating yourself or enjoying a special night with your partner or loved ones—this is absolutely the place. There is a strict dress code, but if you love elevated vibes and luxury dining, you can never go wrong here. Even the aesthetics are stunning—down to the girls' bathroom, which is perfect for photos. From the ambiance to the cuisine, this restaurant delivers excellence every single time.

Arrived at 5:50 for a 6 pm dinner. Blocked from entry by a young woman who said they would not be letting us in until 6:30. I told her I had a 6 pm reservation and she seemed confused. Another employee told her they in fact open at 6 pm. I asked if we could wait in the empty bar, since it was 24 degrees outside and there was no indoor waiting area- despite the place being the sizr of an office building. She said no, we would have to wait outside in the freezing weather. We left and stood on the coner- freezing! Such arrogance and lack of consideration. We returned and were told we could go upstairs by a more sensior employee. We went up the stairs and stood by the desk. Several emplyees- a hostess looked directly at us, but made no effort to approach us. Eventually I asked they over and they asked what I needed??? I said we had been sent up to be seated. Eventually, we were seated. Food was okat- not great. A disco ball light blazed in my eyes throughout the dinner. They did provide a nice scoop of ice ream for our anniversary, but for 230 bucks, we left cold, disappointed and hungry. Had a great time on our previous visit, so we were sad that this experience was so poor, and are will likely not return. Not acceptable to leave patrons in the freezing weather and ignore they. My advice, get a waiting area inside and train in the staff to be more considrate.

The experience at Zuma was disappointing overall. The welcome lacked warmth, the food was well presented but under-seasoned, and the service was polite yet inattentive. It did not meet the expectations of a premium dining experience.

I had a fantastic dinner at Zuma New York. The atmosphere is stylish and lively, the service attentive, and the food exceptional. The sushi was incredibly fresh. A perfect spot for a high-quality Japanese dining experience. Highly recommended

The food was fine. Pretty typical for a “good” sushi place, wayyyyy overpriced. The staff had good manners but weren't very considerate. Made reservations for a table and then were relegated to the sushi bar which made conversation extremely difficult. I wouldn't go again nor would I recommend it.

This Zuma really needs to get back to its roots! The welcome felt flat and uninviting. I was happy to find the soft-shell crab and toro sushi — both were good — but the chicken satay and grilled skewers were completely bland. Service felt rushed, almost mechanical, and nothing like the atmosphere you find at Zuma in Hong Kong, London, or Istanbul. The kitchen clearly needs a reset. The whole “sharing” concept makes no sense when you can't even serve corn with the chicken, or when sushi arrives after the hot dishes instead of before. At this point, it's simply not worth the price. Such a shame to see what used to be a beautiful dining experience sink into mediocrity.

Zuma Midtown never disappoints. The venue is stunning, with a vibrant, upscale atmosphere that perfectly complements the high-end dining experience. The food was amazing, as always — every dish beautifully crafted and full of flavor. Prices are definitely on the higher side, but that’s expected at Zuma and worth it for the overall quality. A go-to spot for a special night out. We really loved the desert with a wonderful support msg for breast cancer.

I love Zuma. Zuma was normally one of my go to spot. I even held a private dinner their last year for my boyfriend‘s birthday that's how much I love the food the ambience and everything however, my last visit was unpleasant. The wait time was lengthy. The food was mediocre, and the waiter took so long to take our orders that I had to contact a manager! The lobster came out before the appetizer it was just a mess. However, I may visit again, so hopefully, the service will return to what I expected.

Cocktail felt booze free, table was away from the main dinning room. Waiters excellent. Overall felt ripped off though :(

This was the most disappointing experience I've ever had at Zuma. The service was horrible, we looked for the servers as if they were hiding from us and even when we mentioned it for the second and third times, we felt completely ignored. The food was extremely disappointing as well, to the extent of returning 2 dishes and eating another mediocre quality 4. It was my friend's birthday, which no one has acknowledged until the very end, when they brought a little ice cream to the table. Funny enough, it was the one item we really enjoyed that night. The bill was $250... for that kind of food and service, it was a complete disgrace. Will not be coming back. My friend's had reservations there with her partner later that month, and she ended up canceling it, due to the poor experience we had.
