Friendly staff and robot server is still a little bit of a novelty. Intrigued our grandkids as they are small. Food is good for diner food and lunch specials keep it more reasonably priced. Comfortable, clean and laid back dining area.

The food was great and they had a fantastic selection different plates. They had many specials. The chicken sandwich in the pictures was only 9 dollars with fries. The plate was good, I didn’t really like the Mac salad but everyone’s tastes are different. Burgers, Fries and hot sauce were excellent. The meatballs tasted home made. We definitely would go again.

Absolute worst service I have ever had. The young waitress forgot my mom’s salad. My food was cold, they “fixed” it by microwaving it and it still took more than 10 minutes to come back to the table. I was asked if I wanted a refill I said yes please, and by the time it made its way back to the table we were ready for a box and the bill. We waited for at least 20 minutes for a box that my husband had to get himself. My mom then waited another 30 minutes for the bill that was THROWN at her. Absolutely not. Disgusting way to treat people regardless of it being “busy”. Less than 30 people for TWO waitresses is nowhere near busy and still no excuse for the service or disrespect. Will never be back and I hope that waitress has the night she deserves. Be grateful my mother is nicer than me because I would have thrown a drink in your face🤷🏻♀️🖕🏻

Walked in the sign said seat yourself. My husband and I picked a corner booth because we like to sit close together. It was a bigger table but we looked around and saw there were 3 other corner booths available still in case a bigger party came in. The waitress came over and asked if it was just the two of us we said yes and she scoffed at us threw two menus on the table and walked away. (An older lady with dark Bob haircut) Not asking if we wanted drinks or anything. Seems like she was annoyed that we chose this table. I told my husband what to order me for a drink and went to the restroom. Disgusting condition of the restroom, absolutely filthy I didn’t even want to sit down. There was a pile of soap on the floor from the dispenser and it seriously looks like the bathroom hasn’t been cleaned since the 1900’s! I came out and the waitress still hadn’t asked about drinks. We looked at the menu a while and decided what to order. Still waiting for drinks my husband then took his turn at the restroom, he came out and told me it was super gross in the men’s room too. The waitress still hadn’t come over to take any sort of order and we had been there for quite a while by then. We were both really grossed out by the condition of the restrooms and can only imagine how it must be in the kitchen. We got up and left, went next door and got served right away. We won’t be returning to Cross Park.

Our first time eating here. Older crowd and we fit in perfectly. Ordered meat omelettes with ham, sausage, bacon and cheese. I'm a cheese lover and it was too much for me but my friend thought it was enough. Home fries and toast were good. Only downfall was there was one waitress serving the entire restaurant. This seems to be the "new norm" since Covid. Waitress was friendly and did her best. Being in Newark, it was nice to see they get their desserts from one on my favorites places - Leo's! We will definitely stop in again.
Parking: Parking in front of the restaurant. Easy to get to the door.

This place is GREAT! Yup, just diner food but service is always fast and friendly. Tons of booths to sit in. Portions are large and priced reasonably. The owner was chef our first time there and he made a delicious gyro. My only complaint the meat was in thick cut logs rather than shaved but the flavor was season on delish gyro meat. The taziki sauce perfection. Each entree comes with a free bowl of soup and we had a potato chowder that was DELISH!
Ambiance was dated to the 80s but very clean and well maintained.
It really feels like a family restaurant and customers are friendly also!

I cannot in good faith give this restaurant any stars for service, atmosphere & most definitely not for any of their food. Cleanliness & preparation are lowest on their complete list of failures. Cooks are negligent & kitchen staff are in lack of Proper food industry standards.. for this place to continue to operate is a disgrace to the village & to all who end up there mistakenly, when there are plenty of BETTER & more well Established & Credible Eateries to visit, " I told you so!! "

I've been there a few times and have received below average food each time. The best thing I ever ate there was their seafood chowder and they just got rid of it. Recently my grandma was on the phone placing an order for fish frys and didn't tell anyone and just called so she didn't know what everyone wanted ??♂️. The lady on the phone was rude and very impatient.
