Simply Soul is my first stop when I’m visit Niagara Falls from Toronto or Seattle. Small restaurant with big taste! Chicken was fried fresh and well worth the wait. I tried the Strawberry cake as well as the 7Up cake, both delicious!

The food was really good. It was our first time there and my boyfriend was going to get a burger. Luckily they recommended the waffle and fried chicken instead. When the food was ready you’re able to smell it before it comes out. Everything was cooked to perfection and tasted amazing. The customer service was also great everyone was so friendly. Definitely going back again and making sure I have room for more.

We had a catered event for about 100 people. The food was absolutely incredible, we had chicken, greens, Mac & Cheese, and meatballs. There was enough food for everyone and then some. They helped us load the food (while it snowed). The staff was friendly and professional throughout the entire process. As a southerner who eats a lot of soul food, I highly recommend using Simply Soul for catering and regular meals. The price point at that quality/quantity is genuinely hard to find. Thank you again, and we'll be seeing y'all again real soon.
Side note: They have the BEST banana Pudding we've ever had.

This place should be a top spot on your list of eateries in Niagara! Our last night in Niagara was New Year’s Day, dining spots were hard to come by. After two failed attempts at other places being closed, we landed at Simply Soul. It was just under an hour before close, but we were friendly greeted and seated. We were a little hesitant as we were the only patrons dining in, but after sitting for a few minutes we soon realized this place was a local favorite, as their DoorDash orders were hopping until right up to closing time. The owner knew several customers by name & told their dashers to be sure and wish them a happy new year. We ordered Fried Chicken & Oxtail with rice- Collards, Mac & Cheese, Mashed Potatoes & Gravy, Fried Cabbage, and they threw in some free black eyed peas for luck in the New Year. The wait time was about 25ish minutes for food, but you can’t expect fresh fried bone in chicken in under 22mins & when I say it was worth the wait, YALL!!!! IT WAS WORTH THE WAIT, I would wait longer for this quality food. I’m not from the Deep South, but I am from the south & know what good soul food should taste like & these meals were FIRE. The chicken skin was the crispiest I think I’ve ever had. I’m not a huge gravy fan, so I asked for it on the side, but l could have drank that whole bowl of gravy! The collards & cabbage melted in our mouths and were packed full of flavor, the Mac had a blend of real cheese, no fake stuff, the cornbread was thick & perfect, even the black eyed peas we couldn’t stop eating. The oxtail was so tender & just fell off the bone. There wasn’t one thing we could have asked to be done better. Between the time deciding on our order & the cook time we were there after close, but never once felt rushed and the food was hot and fresh. I wish we had found this place on our first night & not the last, we’d have eaten there at least one more time.

This was absolutely horrible! I got 2 fish dinners. Who puts sugar in green and cabbage, smh! And the Mac and cheese nearly made me throw up. I drove all the way from Tonawanda and I’m astonished on how everything was horrible. The only half way edible part of the meal was the fish, which was oily on the bottom; that I had to turn into a sandwich. Which as I’m writing this my wife threw up the sandwich. So….I don’t recommend eating here.

Food was amazing . My family of 4 had Spaghetti meal with chicken and garlic bread , kids spaghetti meal , rib tip meal with fries and mash, and Rib meal with Mac and baked beans . EVERYTHING was cook well and tasted amazing . I’m from Michigan but if I’m ever visiting Niagara Falls again I would def stop here

If you need any convincing to come here, I live in Hamburg, drove an hour there to pick up a catering order, then drove it down to Angola the next day to share it with the inlaws for Christmas dinner. That's how good this food is.
We placed the order over the phone with Rod. We told him what we were thinking of ordering and how many people it was for, and he helped us tweak the selection to get the best value for our money and gave us reheating instructions due to us needing to store the food overnight for dinner the next day. We ordered 16 pieces of fried chicken, a half pan each of mac & cheese and collard greens, 5 pieces of cornbread, an order of catfish nuggets, and an order of the oxtails and rasta pasta.
The reheating instructions were spot on. I don't think it's possible to get fresh-out-the-kitchen food when reheating, but this was closer than I've ever gotten before. We went from cold pans of food to a hot holiday dinner in just about an hour.
The chicken came out crispy on the outside and moist on the inside, with no additional sauce or seasoning needed. The mac was golden brown on top and decadent underneath. The catfish nuggets were some of the cleanest fish I've ever tasted, and the greens were sweet with a subtle smokiness. My mother in law, who is Jamaican, is incredibly picky about any Caribbean food she doesn't make herself. She ate half the order of oxtails on her own, and only reluctantly shared with the rest of us.
By the end of the meal, the whole family was talking about planning a trek up to Niagara Falls, from Angola, specifically to have dinner at Simply Soul.

My family and I came to Niagara Falls For the Holidays and my aunt suggested this place when they came here a few months back. When I tell you the atmosphere is awesome, they had Martin playing on the tv. The food was delish!!! Literally didn’t need any extra seasoning at all because the flavors were popping! lol the service was great, I had the haddock and the owner gave me another piece because she felt my First piece was too small! Baby, the food is A1 and it feels so at home when you eat there. I highly recommend this place to EVERYONE!

Well we stumbled onto a gem of a restaurant. Simply Soul was SIMPLY DELICIOUS!!!! Keyona was so friendly and inviting, made the whole experience better. Had a big party of people and Keyona took care of us all with a smile. I only took a picture of my fried chicken after I started to eat it (sorry I was hungry) but everything was seasoned perfectly. Mac and cheese was cheesy and delicious. We live far away but I wish Simply Soul was near us. Thank You again
