“On our way back from Lake George, an opportune place cropped up in our searches for Mexican cuisine - namely Sabor Azteca. Located in Clifton in a regular plaza right by the highway (convenient for our on-wards journey), we decided to stop by for lunch.
Upon entering the rather large establishment, we were greeted by a bubbly waitress and walked by a buffet with bottles lined along the top before being seated. It appeared that there was a sizeable patio too, which I reckon would get busy enough during evenings for dinner.
We were then handed salsa with warm tortilla chips which were great. In addition we ordered guacomole that was served in a stone heavy base from which it was crushed and prepared. We ordered a variety of dishes including crab torillas, quesadillas and empanadas. All of which was authentic and excellent in flavour. This was accompanied by a fruity and strong alcoholic beverage recommended by the waitress that my wife enjoyed.
All in all, a lively and colourful interior matched with good food and drink made for an excellent stop for lunch!

“Best fish tacos I've ever had. My husband also loves everything he's tried - carnitas, beef and street corn tacos. (Haven't tried the chicken.) Their sauces are delicious!

“Fantastic food and extraordinary flavor!! Sorry I ate too fast to take a pic. My first time here at the mall, stopped at Super Taco for lunch. I got the chicken quesadilla, a taco and a soda. It had a nice smokey spice, wasn't greasy, and was the right amount. Under $10. Had almost a Middle Eastern or Pakistani spice flavor that was just perfect. Thank you!!“

“El Patron is truly a beautiful place. I love the vibrant paintings and the overall atmosphere of the restaurant; it really creates a unique and inviting experience. While I’m personally not the biggest fan of the food, I must say that the service more than makes up for it. It’s definitely an experience worth having.

I admit I may be a bit biased because I prefer authentic Mexican cuisine. “Take those other 1 star reviews with a grain of salt.

I got to tell ya, I was worried. I read all about how terrible the service was, the dirty restaurant, and the poor proportions. So I prepared for the worst, but instead what I got was quick and friendly service, a deliciously large meal, and a pretty clean overall experience.

I came in around 4:00PM to find the place totally empty, but the staff was attentive and ready. Put in an order for a burrito and chips with queso. The burrito came out pretty big, stuffed with brown rice, chicken, pinto beans, queso, fajita veggies, cheese, sour cream, and lettuce. I was half expecting to need and request double meat given the other reviews I have read, but that was most certainly not the case here.

Back home my suspicious about how big the burrito was were proven, reminding me of the old Bomber's burritos one could find in Schenectady. And the taste was perfection, cheesy, meaty, and a consistency that was both soft to bite into but not a mess to bite off. Full marks.

Now the bag of chips, when I opened them, looked pretty disappointing. I've seen Lays chip bags that were more full, but the thing I did not account for was that the chips are small and so you get more chips but with far less square footage. This means you'll be dipping into the queso less often per chip, so the number of chips match pretty well with the cup of queso they sell. Speaking of which, the queso is very different from what you might normally expect. It is less cheesy and sharp, and more creamy and milky. Likely the "white" part of the queso bit is the difference, but it still has a good spiciness to it.

Overall I was expecting far less then I got, and what I got was delicious.“
