VOLCANO Asian BBQ and Hot Pot

First time at this place and I had an AMAZING experience. Lia was a fantastic server, all the staff were friendly, the food was delicious, atmosphere was awesome, highly recommend.

This is hands-down my favorite bbq/hotpot spot upstate. Not only do they actually have Korean food items vs the other bbq establishments, the pricing is a steal, the quality is great, staff are helpful, interior is nicely designed, and everyone I’ve brought has raved about it.

I literally don't even know how the food is. I am unable to make it that far. Every time I have walked up to the establishment one of the workers is right outside the front door smoking. If that's not bad enough the planter box outside of the restaurant is filled with cigarette butts. I don't know if they're trying to grow cigarettes or what. It's absolutely disgusting

The service was great. The food was really good and came out quickly. I love that everyone gets their own pot for those who don’t like to share or want to tend their own food or for those with food restrictions. The atmosphere has a lot going on but it upbeat. The only downside is that the ventilation is poor as my group left reeking of a burned oil smell and for a table of six, there was only one grill. A table of 6 or more should have two grills to balance cooking.

My boyfriend and I absolutely loved it and we will for sure be back! The broth is delicious and all of the sliced meats were super tender and flavorful. We did the combo BBQ and hot pot and it was a very enjoyable experience!

I highly recommend eating here, it is definitely a new favorite of mine that I hope to come to often. The experience here was amazing! We opted for the combination of hot pot and bbq, and it was worth it!

Their broth was amazing and they will refill it for you as necessary. They are also very quick with bringing out out your ordered items. All of your ordering is done from a tablet, additionally there is a sauce bar and dessert bar. I like that they have recommended sauce combinations on the wall.

They are also frequently changing out the bbq surface so you have a fresh clean cooking surface.

Our waitress was extremely friendly and provided great service, I'd highly recommend going here!

Been here for KBBQ. The quality has increased a bit since they first opened!

Meat quality is good enough. A good amount of side options, and the sauce bar is nice too. The side quality, like the meat, is good enough. The lettuce is not the correct type of lettuce, though, so you can’t actually make a lettuce wrap.

You get your own drinks, make your own sauce, order any sides or meats on a tablet. Atmosphere is nice, and the service when needed is good. Pretty enjoyable!

They don’t take small reservations (sub 14), so that can suck.

Service and atmosphere were excellent. Food I gave a 4/5. The quality was slightly lower than MOSU, but I was okay with that since it costs a little less. I do wish they had more beef options for BBQ. Aside from that, the ambiance and self-serve sauce bar / drink cooler set itself apart from MOSU/other local competition. Will definitely be back and switch between here and MOSU.

Simply the best food/experience there is! Me and my girlfriend have come here since they first opened and it’s our favorite place to eat ever!! Lia always gives us the best service and we love her to death!! Seriously tip her well if she’s your waitress, she deserves it! All the staff is phenomenal and you can tell the ownership is awesome to work for and takes excellent care of their restaurant. The atmosphere is beautiful and the food/experience is unbeatable. If you’re thinking about trying it out, stop thinking and just go, you will not regret it! Thanks for all you do volcano and thank you Lia 🌋🫶!

Service is at top and restaurant is very clean.

Food and service are great! We had hot pot and barbecue! Both were delicious. However, they didn’t have spoons for hot pot other than the one used to cook.

Best all you can eat Hot Pot in the Capital Region!! They have wonderful service and great selections for food. We love bringing our friends and family here
