One of my favorite spots while in North Creek area of ADK. Small, quite atmosphere. Exceptional service. Great food. Cool, cozy atmosphere.

Modern and simple - the menu isn't weighed down by an abundance of unnecessary choices. The perfect amount of starters, tapas and entrees. There's no way you won't find something perfectly tasty and perfectly suiting you, without needing to provide pages of choices. Thank you for that! Every dish was full of flavor - lemony feta dip with warm and toasty pita, salty briny olives, earthy and sweet squash soup for starters. Main courses are very solid too. Very nice wine selection, of course!! Been a few times. Doesn't disappoint.

Vegan options! We came in here initially as a wait before going to another restaurant but when we found out there were vegan options we decided to stay.

We grabbed seats at the bar and Leslie who was our server/bartender was hilarious and really wonderful. Highly recommend sitting at the bar if she’s working!

The chef apparently saw a review criticizing the non-existent options for vegans and added a number of options! They have a rotating menu, so I would encourage calling to confirm if you have dietary needs.

There was a vegan curry that was “tapas” but it was MASSIVE. An entree sized portion of curry which was really yummy, spicy and savory.

We also had the acorn squash stuffed with a variety of vegetables which also had maple syrup. It was really delicious, a tad sweet, but I think if paired with a vegan sausage or something salty would be delicious (you could get meat sausage with it, which I can imagine helped to balance the sweetness).

We also got the curry hummus with pita and carrots which was also delicious.

Split these 3 things with my bf and it was definitely filling.

Our other friend got the acorn squash with the sausage and hoisin chicken wings and enjoyed it very much. The wine was also very good! My bf really enjoyed the pumpkin crème brûlée ☺️

Hope they come up with a vegan dessert soon ?

Would highly recommend this place if you’re vegan, not only because every other restaurant in town only serves basically veggie burgers and fries as the vegan option, but because the food is delicious! Staff is amazing and atmosphere is great. If I’m in the area again, will definitely be the spot I go to.

Vegetarian options: Rotating menu, would suggest calling the restaurant.

Dietary restrictions: Vegan options! Rotating menu, would suggest calling the restaurant.

I’m giving barVino a rare five stars. We’ve eaten here for years, and I’m thankful that the new owners have sustained this establishment. We visited for a brief overnight in North Creek and came on a Sunday night. Town was very quiet.

We sat at the bar(our preferred location) and ordered a wonderful bottle of Spanish wine.

Our appetizers started our meal. I had wonderful French onion soup and a tomato soup with feta cheese in it. Both were excellent.

After the soup, for our main course, we had a French dip hanger steak sandwich. Also, very very good.

All of the dishes, scream, to comfort food, which made for a very satisfying meal.

My only disappointment was the crème Brulé. Could’ve been a touch creamier, but I am definitely not complaining.

We’re looking forward to coming back again.

All great dinners for a party of 3. Starting with bread service and meatballs and marinara, excellent red and white wines. Steak and frites and chicken marsala. Nice atmosphere and good service. Will definitely be back!

Unbelievable. Even for Upstate New York this place was unbelievable. The food - when it finally came - was only barely acceptable. Their policy - which is unbelievable - is to bring out the food as it’s ready. So for a party of six we got one dinner. The wait time was unbelievable. We finally got the second meal. Twenty minutes later we got three more. The last meal - which was a SOUP (Don’t they just have a pot of this somewhere?} didn’t appear at all until I flagged down a server (after many attempts) and begged for it. When it finally came…with a different server…I was taken to task for asking for it. I have been to many restaurants all over the world. I have NEVER been taken to task by any server much less one who was obviously in the wrong. She lambasted me for having the nerve to complain that our sixth dinner basically never arrived and I had upset the other server. “This is our home.” Hello? Who is paying the bill here? I know that Upstate New York is not Paris but I have never been treated this way in Paris! The bottom line is that the customer is always right and if the customer is paying for six meals, the wait staff has no right to act this way! If they have no plan, no discipline, or order in their kitchen, that’s not the customer’s fault but it ends up being the customer’s problem. BarVino…You have a lot to learn.

For three evenings running, we found ourselves back at this restaurant. The truth is, there's nothing else decent in town except a pizza joint. While the food is average, the atmosphere is pleasant and they have a fantastic beer selection. So, in this dining desert, we can't be too critical.

Food is excellent. Had the chicken and corn soup, shrimp, and sweet and spicy wings. All were very tasty. Portion on the shrimp was small and on the wings was big. Service was very attentive and had some nice local beers on tap. Ambiance is great for the area. My only knock is it needs a more extensive menu - only true protein entree was a steak. They need a chicken or fish also.

Very small wine selection. Great beer (can) variety. For draft beers the tap is not cold enough the beer was warm. We watched the server scrap foam off that kept building, which is a tell tale sign the beer is not cold enough.
