Such a cool hometown bar! You must check out The Barking Spider for a fun time, great drinks, and awesome conversations. The staff and customers are so friendly and offer great tips on local events and things to do in the area. Bring a dollar bill with you to write a note on it and have it hung from the ceiling to mark you visited this iconic spot! Thank you, Tim & Julie, for kickin’ it with the Candlewood Lake, CT girls this weekend! You made our trip so memorable!

The only negative is food. You can bring it with you but for whatever reason the kitchen has been closed since covid.
If you find yourself in North Creek, and you’re looking for great food and a great time with a small town feel, you have to go to the Barking Spider. We rolled into town after a LONG hike in the Adirondacks looking for some food and a place to stay. Our bartender Julie was so personable and genuinely felt bad when we mentioned everywhere was full, she took it upon herself to help us find a place to stay other than the back of our Subaru. AND SHE CAME THROUGH!!Cannot recommend this place enough. TIP YOUR BARTENDERS
