We went here to meet up with my friend and his wife for lunch. Unfortunately they had a family emergency and couldn't join us. My girlfriend and I enjoyed our lunch even though my friends couldn't join us.

Our server and bartender were wonderful. They were going above and beyond in order to make our brief stay tolerable. Especially with the small children in the next booth screaming and rolling around on the carpet while being ignored by their apparently court appointed mandatory adult supervision, at approximately 9:30 PM. Nothing but love for those young ladies.

However, the food was not what most non-incarcerated people would describe as, well, food. Imagine you found a takeout container in your car from a week ago, from a restaurant you don't remember visiting, boiled the contents before nuking it in the microwave. That's eating good in the neighborhood, right there.

As for the atmosphere, what can I say? Well, the ceiling was leaking and pieces of ceiling tiles were falling into the dining area. I get it, things happen, but It wasn't raining outside.

Overall, I would feel cleaner and more comfortable eating at the Guantanamo Bay detainee mess hall.

North Syracuse Applebees… 2 time there, 2 times extremely disappointed!!! 1st time, steak was burnt, inedible. 2nd time burger was completely burnt. (Both I specifically asked for pink.) Crunchy actually. The cheese was unrecognizable and the bacon also inedible.This was an extra bacon burger that was literally withered! 1 hour to receive these two meals. 2 times given a chance. I will NEVER go to Applebees in North Syracuse again!!!!! A disaster!!!! I’ve never reviewed a restaurant but this is worth stating to never go there.

The service was spot on! Our server was great! As expected, the food was served hot & delish. I ordered their spicy chicken sandwich with fries & a side of ranch. The portion was huge! I was meeting a relative I'd not seen in a few years so we stayed way past normal (about 3 hours) but the staff & server kept filling our refreshments the whole time (we'd already paid & tipped much earlier) so we left an additional tip & tild the server how much we appreciated her kindness!

This location has always been short with portions for take out and carside. We experienced this during the pandemic and stopped going here, driving farther to the Great Northern location. It's been some time and today, tried this location again and the portions for all of our dinners were smaller. Boneless appetizers smaller, all dinners smaller, it's not worth it to get take out here. Take the extra drive to other locations.
