This was the second time I had Batata cater a lunch for the staff at VSN Hospice House to thank them for the outstanding care they gave my wife from two years ago. Nicole was very kind and helpful in putting together a wonderful spread for those vegetarians and non vegetarians. It was well received as the food was excellent.

I enjoyed the Batata Cafe! I was in the area and decided to try this place because its plethora of vegan options. As I stepped in, I noticed they had adorable holiday decorations all throughout the store which I really appreciated. It felt clean and modern inside. Given that I ordered online, I'd say the ordering process was super easy and I was able to make my necessary accommodations. As I waited for my order, the staff spoke with me and were very kind. My soups were good but I definitely need to return to try some of their vegan sandwiches!

Food is always top notch. Our go to spot when we are near Northport. The staff are always helpful and pleasant. The dining area is always clean and food is prepared fresh. Highly recommend this place.

If you, like me, stopped going to Batata for a time because their food and service seemed to decline a few years ago, I recommend you revisit soon… food and service was excellent the last 3 times I ordered. I have been going to Batata since it opened many years ago and through all of its changes. A few years ago, it seemed that mostly some high school kids were working and always messed up our orders and had awful customer service skills. I gave up on eating there for a time, but recently revisited to find everything excellent once again.

Really wanted to love Batata, they have some great menu options - but, have found the consistency is not always there and they (really) need to be more careful with their prep procedures as we found a large piece of cut plastic in our wrap, that after rinsing off appears to be part of a condiment container.
