Warm, cozy atmosphere. Great food from start to finish. Wait staff could've been a bit friendlier and smile more but otherwise I'll be back.
We had an outstanding experience at Bistro 44. Both the food and service were exceptional. I had the ribeye which was cooked perfectly and very flavorful. My date had the seafood risotto which was so plentiful she will be enjoying it for the next day or two. Located in the heart of beautiful downtown Northport. Look forward to returning soon.
First time here it's a very nice space. The food was overall very good. The service was terrible. Mostly ignored. Had to hit up and hand credit card to waiter who was having a long conversation with ppl at another table
Great dinner. Service was excellent. Our waiter was very enthusiastic and explained all the dishes.
Fabulous decor, food, staff and service. However, pre- theater noise level is awful. We'll go back again on a quieter weeknight.
Dinner with good friends, not pre theater, asked for booth which was nicely lit and private and our waitress, Gina, took excellent care of us without rushing. Our husbands ordered the veal special which was generous and enjoyed the leftovers the next day. Gina had our salad appetizers split which made sharing simple - thank you.
Decided on Bistro 44 to have dinner for a friend's birthday on a Saturday night. The atmosphere was comfortable. The staff was extremely attentive, friendly and polite. It was a particularly quiet evening for Northport on a Saturday, but that soon changed once we were seated.
The food was good and was prepared precisely as requested. The portions were sized accordingly and the flavor was exponential.
I ordered a Ribeye 🥩, bone in, with a nice potato 🥔 and asparagus. I also ordered a tasty beverage to wash it all down with. My date had the beef short rib, mashed potatoes and asparagus. The birthday girl had salmon and green beans and kicked it off with a house salad 🥗 as did her husband who also opted for the pork chop, mashed potatoes and green beans.
Everyone enjoyed their meal and experience. I'll most likely recommend Bistro 44 to friends and acquaintances and will most likely revisit this establishment again.

Standard service. Appetizers bread came with butter, sweet garlic, olive tapenade - all bland. Weighing shortrib, Ordered the Cioppino instead. Absolutely flavorless way to waste $50 and my time de-shelling molluscs. Should have gone with the shortrib or just avoided the visit entirely

Food was very good, inside a little dark, but some people like that. Celebrated friends birthday and they brought out a complementary dessert.
A great dinner . The food was delicious and the servers were kind and thoughtful. It was a nice dinning experience.

After a 2 year hiatus we returned to Bistro 44 for what turned out to be a sensational dinner. Two of us had the ciopino while the other 4 had the Sesame Crusted Tuna, Duck and the Chicken. We were all in agreement we'd be back. PR
Been here numerous times and the food and service is always excellent. My favorite restaurant.
A very nice place...food was very good, service was excellent, prices were reasonable and the location is a home run.
I've been to this restaurant many times before an really like there outdoor eating during the summers however was there last night and was very disappointed. I was there with a group of 4 for dinner and only ordered drinks and dinners so I couldn't understand how the server (a male with an earing ) could screw up this simple order bringing me a chicken disk instead of the grilled pork chop ordered. Waited 15 minutes still no replacement as my friends were finishing so I cancelled my order and asked to speak to the manager who goes by the name of L. She became was very defensive indicating mistakes happen what do you want me to do. Terrible customer service and If you decide to go stay away from the male server with an earing as his attention to detail is non exist ant!!!

Absolutely perfect lunch with our son for my husband's birthday yesterday! We were outside in the beautiful and private garden. It must also be gorgeous in the evening when the lights on the ivy walls are glowing. Our waiter was outstanding and food was fabulous. We all had the pre-fixe with the delicious baby lamb chops with roasted potatoes and asparagus for the main. Two of us had the potato leek soup with shrimp. Best potato leek ever. Deserts were amazing and still warm on the inside. Sorry I don't recall our waiter's name but he really made our outing special with professional service, full knowledge of drinks/menu and always smiling :-). It had been a long time since dining there but it will be on regular rotation now. Thank you!
