I hope this review truly helps Branzino as we were looking forward to their opening for a long time. This was our second time there. I was hoping it was going to be better than the first time. It was not. I had ordered a Guinness at the bar while waiting for the rest of our party to arrive. The bar does not stock an ordinary pint glass and the bartender had no clue what one is. It’s a Pilsner glass or a Belgium goblet. That’s all they have. Not right for a Guinness. Now the food. For my lunch visit I ordered the spicy Rigatoni with Stracciatella. It came with a scoop of ricotta cheese. No explanation. They were just passing it off that way. Asked the waitress at the end of the meal and she said yeah you’re right. We also had a burger that was ordered medium and came out like a hockey puck. The Margherita pizza was very good. For our dinner yesterday I ordered the orecchiette barese. The vinegar from the peppers was overpowering and ruined this simple traditional dish. Not good quality pasta and swimming in the liquid. Our server Fatima was one of the sweetest servers I have had. She was wonderful. Please have your servers ask the patrons if they would like another drink when the drinks are low. The bar is extremely slow. I don’t think we will be back again. I wish this was not the case.
