I really wanted to like this place! Its dog friendly which is awesome and hard to find sometimes! The service started out strong and then took a nose dive. The hostess was very friendly, our server took about 10 or 15 minutes to come over but we saw it was busy and it was a nice day so we weren't bothered. We ordered a round of drinks and food. When our food came out no one checked on us and our drinks were empty and we wanted another round but our server was M.I.A. so we never got to order another round. When she came out on the patio she was flustered and explaining to the table behind us that the kitchen lost their food ticket and that's why it's taking so long. I heard them complain how frustrated they were too because an hour had passed and their food still hadn't come out. We finally flagged down our waitress and asked for our check. She brought it and then disappeared for another 15 minutes. At this point we had been trying to just pay and get out of here for 30-40 minutes. I finally got up and asked the hostess if she could run our card. I saw our waitress inside and she was taking an order at an 8 top at an inside table so I'm not sure if someone called out and that's why she had these tables all over the place or if they are always this short staffed. Overall frustrating experience but they have a nice patio if you have a lot of time and your wish is to be sober

Disappointed. We have eaten here many times over the years. Last visit we had Overcooked gnocchi. Overcooked lobster. Overcooked fish. The prices are also not on par with the quality / freshness. We will be going elsewhere next time.

Had the chicken gorgonzola over spinach with creamy mashed potatoes. One of the best gorgonzola dishes I've ever had. Sat at the bar with nine friends. Service was on point.

Been here before a few times, was just as good as I remembered, love the food here the baked clams oreganata are terrific and the lobster just falls out of the shell absolutely amazing every time. Friendly staff amazing atmosphere. In a great area of Northport right next to the harbor !

Me and my boyfriend like coming here but he has a severe dairy allergy and he ordered the chicken Parm with no cheese, so it's essentially chicken marinara, which is totally fine and we've ordered that at a ton of restaurants in the past. Well there's definitely cheese either in the sauce or in the breading that they use on the chicken, because he's completely sick... That's definitely something that should've been told to us prior and we obviously wouldn't have ordered it. Allergies are never taken seriously.

Went 4/24/24. The sole waitress working most of the lunch rush deserves a huge raise. Food was really good, service was excellent even with what appeared to be a busy lunch rush during spring break. Would definitely make a special trip to come back.

Iv been coming here for over 20 years. I was coming here when it was Tavern By the Harbor. The service has been really bad for the past 3 or so years. The food runner gave my wife and I our entrees and nobody ever came back to check on us. No "how is it?". No "do you need anything"... For 20 minutes my wife wanted a drink and I wanted cheese on my penne a la vodka. But nobody cares. They consistently have the best linguini and white clam sauce I have ever had. It's just I can't bring myself to go back. The time before this my wife and I asked if we could have our food wrapped. The man stood in the back chatting with the other server for 30 minutes. I'm not kidding. We waited 30 minutes before he brought us tins for our food... We were one of two tables dining in the restaurant that night.

I went with my Aunt Last night to break our fast (its Ramadan). I was so happy we picked the right place. I can’t tell you enough about their service and friendliness. They made sure the food came out on time. They go back and forth at your table to ask if you need anything and how things are going… etc. I ordered a salad nuttiness with walnuts, cranberries, greens, goat cheese.. delicious. Onion soup was good and very hot as i like it. Got the main whole lobster and aunt ordered surf and turf. The plate was huge. Can’t go wrong with the price. Everything was delicious and just as we wanted it. Thank u for an amazing night. And thank you to the servers and great customer service. Will definitely be back. I have nothing bad to say about this place.
