Cashier is never happy to see me. Asked for chicken chow mein and asked her if she had it and she said yes but got chop suey. Complete waste of money.
Ordered takeout here for the first time. Was slightly skeptical from seeing the mixed reviews and experiences but nonetheless I decided to give them a try since most of my go to Chinese places are closed on Mondays
Ordered the sesame chicken lunch special, that came with Wonton soup and I also got Dim sum one of my favorite appetizers to get and honestly I was pretty impressed.
The food was still hot and fresh even when it was delivered. Portion sizes were very sizable for the price and the flavors were just where they needed to be! From the savory dim sum, tasty salty pork bits in the fried rice, and a slightly spicy sesame chicken sauce.
Only real let downs was the wonton soup tasted off, like it was made with a Miso base if I had to guess. Some of the onion bits in the fried rice didn't taste as fresh and stood out in a bad way.
If I had to give another rating I would give it a 7 out of 10 for being really solid and surprisingly tasty even with some off bits here and there it wasn't as bad as some other reviews made it out to be.
Happy Wok is one of those places you love or absolutely hate. Our family has been going for twenty years plus since it became a Chinese Restaurant after KFC left Northport back in the 90's. The food is always hot and tasteful. Jennifer is always so sweet and her son Aiden is a delight. Locals know him well since he was a baby. The prices are average and the staff is friendly. But I do get some people don't like it and that's why we can leave unbiased reviews. IMO this place rocks.

This restaurant is now serving lab grown chicken. It’s not real chicken. It doesn’t taste like real chicken. It doesn’t look like real chicken. They are serving lab grown chicken. It is disgusting and they don’t tell you that they’re serving you this garbage. I think they should be assigned or something that lets you know what it is they selling you. I wouldn’t buy food from there ever again. If they’re selling lab prone chicken, they are no doubt selling lab grown beef. Avoided at all cost.

I ordered my food to be delivered at 4:40pm. It came at 5:15. I paid cash . They forgot my egg rolls. I called and waited till 6:45 to call them to see why they haven’t come back yet. They said they were busy and will come later. LATER!!?? They got to my house to give me the egg rolls at 7:45. On top of all this the food was sooooo bad. . They use to be good 20 years ago. Oh well. Will move to another place.

This place is hands down one of the best Chinese food places out. It’s a mom and pop shop with an amazing and friendly child who is extremely kind. The crispy pork was to die for and I’ve had nothing like it before. If you want a place where there’s love cooked in the food come here. The chicken was the perfect texture and melts in your mouth, and they are very sanitary. The clean everything so well

I do not recommend this place. it's dirty. I saw the master of the kitchen cleaning the utensils with a white cloth, but it was almost black with dirt, when he realized that I was watching him, he hid that dirty cloth. Now the lady who serves customers is not friendly or cordial. He has to go study human relations, he should at least smile?. I have negative stars -10.
You can eat in but I think the majority of people do take out. It is great they have other Asian dishes as well as Chinese. I have done take out from this place on and off for over 23 years. I felt the food ran hot n cold for a bit after n during Covid. These days it is back to full throttle serving great tasting and quality portion food. ?
Dietary restrictions: They can surely accomadate lots of different food restrictions

Very polite customer service, I appreciate their patience.
Consistent quality and friendly service
As a person that LOVES Chinese cuisine, i had to write a review for this place. i work all over the island and I am always looking for Chinese food in my work area.I would RECOMMEND you to not waist time and money with this place. I ordered shrimp and lobster sauce with white rice and it was terrible. That’s my test dish for all new Chinese restaurants. I also ordered an egg roll and a small egg drop soup. The dish was extremely bland, vegetables were not cooked properly and the egg drop soup didn’t taste right. The only good thing was that they offer you big shrimps in this dish, everything else was not so great. Good thing I ordered an egg roll, because I had to chuck the left over rice and egg drop soup.
I want to leave no stars review as I’m currently recovering from a food poison from this place. We ordered 2 different entrees last night and mine was chicken mu-shu. The other dish was sesame chicken which tasted very rubbery. Their food is very low quality. Oh and we found something that looked like a small tooth inside one of spring rolls. Disgusting. You can do better.
They forgot our brown rice, lo mein was just ok, egg foo young was burnt and sauce was not good. Very disappointed. We used to really like the food here.
