I'm sure this place would be overrun with customers if they knew about...as it is, it's always pretty packed. Don't be deceived by the outside... inside the place and the food are just the best. We go whenever we are back in NY; I always have carbonara and it never disappoints. my wife got chicken cordon Bleu this trip....it was a little dry. I'll told her she should have went with her favorites, either chic Parm or shrimp and scallops au gratin. She'll learn - dont try something new when the old is tried and true (please, no innuendos intended about our relationship, lol)

We love stopping at the Alpine on Sundays after hiking or paddling. Food and service have always been great! They are usually open until 9pm. Online also confirmed open until 9 pm. We were disappointed when we walked in at 8:10 and they refused to serve us. We were hiking in the Blue Mountain Lake area. Stopped at the restaurant in Indian Lake, who would not seat anyone else (also an hour before their regular closing time). So we rushed out and really looked forward to making it to The Alpine in time for a good meal. Nope! If we want thriving tourism in our beautiful area, we need to accommodate people. Had to settle for Stewart’s pizza in Northville for dinner. At least they stick to their scheduled closing time🤷🏼♀️

Easily the best plate of steamers I've ever had. The steak was fresh, cooked and seasoned to perfection. Pam was friendly and made our meals more enjoyable with a few suggestions. A clean restaurant with a slightly upscale atmosphere. Reservations are encouraged.
