“My husband and I came in close to closing on a Friday night after snowmobiling all evening. This was only our second experience here and we weren't expecting much. When we walked in everyone was staring at us, I can only assume it was because it was close to closing time. Our waitress paid not attention to the time and was amazing/attentive. Cocktails were out fast and delicious, and the rest of the meal was timed perfectly by the staff. I would go back just for hot wings but I know I'll be going back for more. We closed the restaurant up and no one there made us feel rushed or like we were a bother at all.”

“An unexpected gem in the Great Sacandaga Lake area. I'd driven by a few times while visiting in the GSL area and finally got the time to stop by. Food was tasty and done to order. My wife and I had the opportunity to both dine in and take out from Klippel's recently, and both did not fail to please. Portions were generous and reasonably priced. There did seem to be a nice selection on the menu - so finding something that "hits the spot" shouldn't be hard to find. It does appear that there is a nicely stocked deli should you prefer that to "off the grill or oven". Dine-in ambiance I'd definitely characterize as "Adirondack rustic". Clean, but not fancy. I did appreciate the old-time tchotchkes that adorn the walls. (Which do tend to bring back memories of my childhood). The staff was friendly and courteous. Many local residents frequent here, but as a "tourist" I too was treated with a smile and friendly chatter.”

“I really like the remodel and one of the best spots on the lake. It's best to go by boat if possible since parking for cars is limited. We have only had wings and burgers plus ice cold beer and everything was great. The menu is full of classic American pub fare.”

“We've been a few times while in the area. Pizza was well seasoned, crispy, and reasonably priced. Home style pizza, very light crust. If I were local, I wouldn't hesitate to make them our regular spot.Wings are breaded, which isn't my preferred style, but they are very large, juicy, and the sauce is great. To boot, they have excellent bleu cheese. They're more crunchy than crispy, but we've enjoyed them.Staff is very friendly.”

“The chicken francaise was delicious and came our pretty quickly. The wait staff was friendly. The atmosphere kind of felt like a ghost town this time though. One staff, no music for ambiance... and witnessed the wait staff turn away customers 20 minutes before their closing time. It was a little surprising, since there were still a few tables with people dining. Open til "X" should mean you are serving customers until "X".”

“Let's start with the atmosphere. What I noticed first is that it is very clean. Decorations were sparse but pleasant. Plenty of room, the tables are not crowded together which is really nice. We heard an acoustic duo and the music wasn't too loud, the room had a nice sound for music. Service... I didn't get our waitresses name but she was super sweet. She did a great job and I think she may have been the only server on the floor. Food... Parts of the meal were great... others not so much and these parts could be fixed so quickly. The bad... the rolls and butter clearly store bought rolls and heated, request for more they were cold out of the package. The salad was beyond basic. I asked for blue cheese dressing, I believe maybe they ran out and it was basically sour cream with some crumbles in it. If this is the normal blue cheese dressing they need to change that. Again, so minor in the big picture but this is how the meal starts so it just sets the mood. Now to the main course... My friend ordered the Steak Marsala and I ordered the crab stuffed haddock. We thought she was going to get a steak... with a side of pasta it was slices of steak on a HUGE bed of pasta with a thick marsala sauce on the pasta. Tasty but should not be listed as a steak. This is a pasta dish with meat on top. The crab stuffed haddock was excellent. I had it with a side of mashed potatoes which were very nice and the veggie medley was tasty and still had some crisp to it, not mushy at all. I recommend this dish and would have it again. I would go back for sure.”

My wife had a amaretto sour to start off with, which I stole a few sips from her because it was really good. The Bacon Blue Burger was probably the best in the area. I really love a good crumble blue cheese, especially on a burger. Can’t wait to go back and have it again.”

“I can’t recommend this place enough!!We stopped in for ice cream last Saturday afternoon and wound up staying until dark and also getting dinner here. We are looking forward to next Saturday for a repeat.Ice cream was great, with generous portions.The BBQ combos were excellent. Between everyone in our party we tried most things on the menu. Everything was delicious and cooked to perfection. No complaints even from our pickier eaters.The atmosphere was perfect. Something for everyone. “This was the best restaurant ever! I went with my family and friends for dinner and ice cream. Everything was priced very low and the portions were HUGE! I ordered an Oreo marshmallow malt milkshake and it was by far the best milkshake I ever had. I also ordered a small calzone for about $10, and it was so big it didn’t even fit on the pizza plate. I had 3 dinners from that one calzone and it was really good. Everyone else loved their food. I would 100% recommended this place to everyone and will definitely be back soon. I put my hand next to the calzone for size reference.”

“First time ordering and WOW! We have always seen their signs around town and decided to give it a try. Took a look at the menu and decided on the artichoke and tomato pizza. Go bold on the first order. Someone new was training who took our order and they did great, btw!!! The pizza was ready on time and wonderful. Perfectly crusty on the bottom filled with the toppings, everything was seasoned well and tasted amazing. You have a new regular customer for sure. Can’t wait to try more items on the menu.”

“Came in on a Thursday and it was a little loud but everyone was friendly so it felt like a party. Pizza and wings were solid and very reasonably priced. Staff was really busy but were on their game making sure everyone was looked after. I've been before and I'll be back. Great spot for a bite and beer.”

“Everytime I have been here the staff have been really nice. I think they are great. But I have a problem with corporate and there overall signage, and pricing not being clear/misleading. However I cannot hold that against that employees because that isn't something they can control. Other than my issues with that they have been great here.”

Chris and his family along with their staff did everything to see our event was a success. This is the 3rd year we have had it at Lanzi's and we will be back next year.
