I have to say it was perfect meaning the meat was so lean and cooked perfect and of course so were the potatoes and cabbage. I enjoyed it so much, please say hi to the cooks in the kit for me.”

“Our family had visited this diner for about a decade. We love the staff, the food is amazing and perfect for those that enjoy a good old fashioned home cooked style meal. The variety is great. The staff is welcoming, and always attentive. There's always room, even when we stop in with our kids. The setting is just like a classic diner with long bar and stool seating, or plenty of tables. There's also outdoor seating during the warm months. The restrooms are always clean and tidy. The prices are super affordable. There's always plenty of parking right at the building, or across the street. Just a short drive to Northville and the Town of Day Beach and day use area, and there's a gas station right across the street.”

“If you’re looking for a hole in the wall with great food, good service and cool people this is the place. We’ve been there three times now and never disappointed. Burgers are fantastic, the beer is cold and drinks are hearty plus they’re open 7 days a week year round which is fantastic if you live here on the lake. Met the owner last night and he’s a great guy very down to earth and friendly. The patrons are equally as friendly and down to earth. I highly recommend this place and I hear the wings are great so that’s MY next order.”

“Sunday dinner at Jay's. One server, one chef. Alexa, the server, smiled the entire time. She handled several tables, take out orders, and phone in orders. I had the chicken cordon bleu and my husband had the veal parmesan. Both were excellent.”

“Stopped here on a Tuesday for summer lunch because NO PLACE was open anywhere around the area. Was expecting greasy fried bar food but was extremely surprised when the waitress handed us a full menu which featured “real” food. I asked what she’d recommend and she said she eats the black and blue steak salad with house vinaigrette daily so I ordered that. My husband settled on the Philly cheese steak sandwich. Both were excellent and we’ll return to try their Reuben another time. Shockingly good! Highly recommend this place.”

“I don't have a single complaint with dragon city. Its a little pricey but the food is always fresh and good. Honestly, it's not easy to operate and turn a high profit in this economy so I guess the prices are fair. We go every other week usually and I definitely enjoy their menu variety.”

“This was an absolutely delightful find yesterday! Everything we ordered was delicious! Prices were very fair and tough thing to find nowadays. The waitress was absolutely lovely! Everything was scratch made. Going out to eat lately has been one disappointment after another, so this was a breath of fresh air! Definitely give them a try! Support local! “My companion and I had dinner at Placid Pines earlier this week. I ordered the Reuben Grill sandwich and he had the Open-Faced Hot Roast Beef sandwich. Both were excellent. The corned beef in my Reuben was very lean and delicious, as was his roast beef. We both had the pumpkin crunch cheesecake for dessert, which was also very good. For a small pub like Placid Pines to serve such delicious food is a testament to their chef and kitchen staff.”
