“Stopped in for the first time today. Super nice people, great atmosphere and although I only tried 2 beers, both were really good. A winner…I’ll be back for sure!”
“Super cute highway diner ran by a family making classic diner fare. Prompt attentive service and smiles all around make this diner a must visit when passing along through the Adirondacks. Pricing is very affordable. Keep in mind it is cash only, but they have an atm on site if needed :)”
“Had a great lunch at the Mayfield Grill with my wife today. The French onion was soup was delicious. My wife had a amaretto sour to start off with, which I stole a few sips from her because it was really good. The Bacon Blue Burger was probably the best in the area. I really love a good crumble blue cheese, especially on a burger. Can’t wait to go back and have it again.”
“This was the best restaurant ever! I went with my family and friends for dinner and ice cream. Everything was priced very low and the portions were HUGE! I ordered an Oreo marshmallow malt milkshake and it was by far the best milkshake I ever had. I also ordered a small calzone for about $10, and it was so big it didn’t even fit on the pizza plate. I had 3 dinners from that one calzone and it was really good. Everyone else loved their food. I would 100% recommended this place to everyone and will definitely be back soon. I put my hand next to the calzone for size reference.”
“First time ordering and WOW! We have always seen their signs around town and decided to give it a try. Took a look at the menu and decided on the artichoke and tomato pizza. Go bold on the first order. Someone new was training who took our order and they did great, btw!!! The pizza was ready on time and wonderful. Perfectly crusty on the bottom filled with the toppings, everything was seasoned well and tasted amazing. You have a new regular customer for sure. Can’t wait to try more items on the menu.”
“The food is excellent, I especially like the Woodworth omelet. Omelets are great here. The staff is always warm and welcoming. I always enjoy my meals at the L.A.B. shack.”
“I gotta say this place is really good except the one time i asked for a cookie and the dude took the cookie in the back room took a bite out of it and put it back in the bag”
“Everytime I have been here the staff have been really nice. I think they are great. But I have a problem with corporate and there overall signage, and pricing not being clear/misleading. However I cannot hold that against that employees because that isn't something they can control. Other than my issues with that they have been great here.”
“We had a company event for 140 people and it was excellent. The food was delicious, the newly remodeled restaurant and deck look amazing. Chris and his family along with their staff did everything to see our event was a success. This is the 3rd year we have had it at Lanzi's and we will be back next year. Thank you Chris, The Family and Staff. Carl Tambasco & D22 Hannaford.”
“Was busy but still only had to wait around 25 minutes, the food made it well worth the wait. I have been many times and have never had an experience that wasn't great. Their eggs and omelets are great, the bacon is great, and so are the home fries. The gluten free pancakes are some of the best I've had and I have never experienced an allergic reaction from them. Very nice people aswell.Dietary restrictions: Safe options for gluten allergy that also taste great.Parking: More than enough parking space, and if it's full the street parking is free.”
“Made a reservation for 11:30 AM on a Sunday morning, we got there 20 minutes late and they still allowed us to sit in our table with no problem with nothing but smiles! The hostess and the waitress were really sweet, asked if if it was the first time visiting, and informed us of how the food was going to be buffet styled. The ambiance was cozy with Easter decor, a piano in the middle of the dining room, taxidermy and their syrup being sold in the entrance!I got these two leather earrings made in Townsend! They were $6 each and so cute. I got a red and brown one!The pancakes were extremely delicious; golden brown, their maple syrup was unique, and their bacon was crispy and not too greasy. It was the perfect spot for breakfast!”
“My kids introduced me to this establishment last week.I didn't know what to expect, but I like hot!!!There is no shortage of heat here!!!The idea of using dry rub instead of sauce for heat, it makes the all difference. If you appreciate flavor profiles you will appreciate the sliders. The combination of hot chicken, sweet sauce, and crisp clean (non vinegary) coleslaw is on point.Great thought went into this simple but complex taste.I will definitely be frequenting this establishment.Thank you kids you actually showed me something for once...”
“truly a spectacular bakery! filled with warmth and loving bakers, this bakery creates by far some of the best baked goods we have ever had! the creativity is so fun and the prices are very reasonable especially for what you get! you can taste the immense amount of thought, hard-work, and love that goes into not just the recipes, but each individual treat. every baker in there feels like a big hug as they pack up transcendent cupcakes, indulgent cookie burgers, decadent breads, fudgey brownies, and so much more. we adore following their live updates on facebook so even on the days we don’t get a treat, my day is still made extra sweet! please visit this wonderful small business, i can’t sing it enough praise!!! to name a few i personally have had the pleasure to enjoy; halfmoons, latte cupcake, apple pie cupcake, pumpkin spice cupcake, churro cookie, carrot pecan cupcake, mint chip brownie, etc. —all absolutely fantastic!Dietary restrictions: they tend to have some sort of dairy free/gluten free treat everyday if not many, they often have nut-free options as well i believe.Parking: public parking, restaurant parking, street parking, and bakery parking all surrounding the location—very convenient!!Kid-friendliness: owner has kids and and they bake with kids in mind!Wheelchair accessibility: large double door entrance without a middle beam, street sidewalk on one side of the road has some strange tilts but from the parking lot next to the building it should be a flat cement path to the inside where there are two waiting lobbies, one with large corners and some counters and tables. cashier and sweets case is straight ahead with clear cases and noise levels tend to be on the lower spectrum.”
“My wife and I went for lunch with two other couples. Food, atmosphere and service was terrific! We were there in the fall and the pumpkin pancakes were delicious!!!”
“I visited again a couple of days ago with a friend. Service with a smile and great food! We shared s jalepeno popper app. I had the pork w stuffing special and my friend had the open faced turkey dinner. For dessert I had peanut butter chocolate cream pie, my friend had the cherry chocolate cream pie. Everything was delish!Unique interesting decore, great food, awesome service and great prices. If you leave hungry, it's your own fault!Parking: Parking is tight and over flows to the street.”
“An unexpected gem in the Great Sacandaga Lake area. I'd driven by a few times while visiting in the GSL area and finally got the time to stop by. Food was tasty and done to order. My wife and I had the opportunity to both dine in and take out from Klippel's recently, and both did not fail to please. Portions were generous and reasonably priced. There did seem to be a nice selection on the menu - so finding something that "hits the spot" shouldn't be hard to find. It does appear that there is a nicely stocked deli should you prefer that to "off the grill or oven". Dine-in ambiance I'd definitely characterize as "Adirondack rustic". Clean, but not fancy. I did appreciate the old-time tchotchkes that adorn the walls. (Which do tend to bring back memories of my childhood). The staff was friendly and courteous. Many local residents frequent here, but as a "tourist" I too was treated with a smile and friendly chatter.”
“Me and my friend come here for the talkative of the bar to the food. They meant very good wings. Don't get them anyway, you want, there's TV everywhere. You can get your tickets here. You can do. You can do your numbers here. I highly recommend. I will give it 50 stars.”
“Had dinner last evening and it was a delightful experience. My husband and I shared the ahi tuna appetizer which was delicious. I had beet and feta risotto with scallops and my husband had the fried chicken. Both were delicious. I finished my meal with cheesecake and as the rest of the meal was fantastic. Can't wait to go back!”
“Super friendly and welcoming staff even when there's a line down the block. Awesome variety of delicious ice cream flavors and they conveniently have different dietary options for your whole picky family (or in-laws...ammiritee? heh)”
“Great upscale place to eat. Very diverse small menu. Appetizers are great desserts are also. Entrees were good and surprising in their taste profiles. Reservations are a good idea. Small staff to serve all guests. Historic location....rumor has it that it is haunted.Parking: Small lot or street parking.”
“I love Pete's place! Down home family atmosphere. The owners and staff treat you like your family.the food is always great, and they keep that coffee cup filled. Don't hesitate to stop! You won't be sorry.”
“A cute little ice cream shop serving both hard and soft ice cream. I had a chocolate peanut butter twist which was very good. My bride had a non dairy blueberry pancake ice cream, which she thought tasted just like a blueberry pancake. My mom had a coconut soft ice cream. We all were happy with our selections.”
“We've been a few times while in the area. Pizza was well seasoned, crispy, and reasonably priced. Home style pizza, very light crust. If I were local, I wouldn't hesitate to make them our regular spot.Wings are breaded, which isn't my preferred style, but they are very large, juicy, and the sauce is great. To boot, they have excellent bleu cheese. They're more crunchy than crispy, but we've enjoyed them.Staff is very friendly.”
“A recent refresh of the dining room offers a clean and welcoming atmosphere, complemented by always friendly staff and delicious dishes.Parking: Sometimes the shared side lot is full as well as the street parking spots in the immediate front. But that’s a direct result of the product and service provided.”
“I really like it here because they have a good menu selection. The prices are reasonable in comparison to other similar places. It's a hometown kind of restaurant where everyone knows everyone else. It's a " hey, hello, how have you been" kind of greeting every time you walk in. That's nice. I particularly enjoy their subs. Fresh bread and a good amount of meat on the sub. I've also enjoyed the antipasto salad with their homemade Italian dressing. It really is like my grandmother used to make and that was a favorite too. The owner Frank is always there with a smile on his face and it is always busy in there. I would recommend trying this place if you haven't already.”
“I performed for a private party there in the Pavilion I am an Elvis tribute artist the whole place was beautiful everybody there wasn't very nice very helpful and I enjoyed myself had a great time”
“It was our first time at Rustic Loft. I didn’t realize how cozy it was! The fireplace, the rustic decor, the beautiful bar…. Food was amazing! We can’t wait to go back!”
“Great beer, great ambiance, great owners- like Jerry!!! ??? If they have time, & you wanna listen, they’ll you their story. Bonus points for Ato, their bar dog- super adorable pup! ❤️”
“Well, let me tell you.... there aren't many places to go anymore that make you feel welcome as soon as you walk in. The owners sister (I missed her name) greeted us with a smile. She was so very pleasant and upbeat! She took the time to chat even. Then, there was mention of homemade danish coming out of the oven.... you MUST try one! Cherry, cherry cheese, strawberry, strawberry cheese, apple, apple cheese with homemade icing. We should have gotten them to go instead of before breakfast!!The cheese omlette was thick and delicious! French toast was amazing with a great flavor and bacon was done just right. Prices were very fair for the amount of food we received. They also accept credit cards which ya can't find anymore either! If you get a chance, you have to try it!!! You won't be disappointed. Kudos to an awesome place to eat (and thank you again for the birthday cookie) We don't get into town often, but we will definitely be back when we do!!”
“Nanny and Pop's is a great little place. Great atmosphere, wonderful people, and great service. Food is fabulous. You feel at home.Kid-friendliness: They love having children of all ages.”
