“We placed a lunch takeout order for the staff in our office. I was told it would be ready in 30 minutes, which was amazingly quick. When I arrived to pick the order up, I waited only 5 minutes, and it was ready. Fresh and hot. All the food was awesome. We will be ordering from this charming establishment again.”

“We went here for the first time yesterday as we were driving through. A small little place but service and food was excellent. We were waited on by multiple friendly waitresses. The food was phenomenal. Flavored and seasoned well. It was busy as could be but that didn’t stop them from providing excellent service and food to us. The home fries with onions were some of the best I have ever had. My omelette was fresh and delicious. My fiancé got the smoked ham and egg’s special and was impressed by the flavor and presentation. We didn’t have cash (cash only establishment) but they provider an ATM. We will be stopping in here a lot more for another delicious breakfast!”

“Our bestie group of 4 went for lunch. Everything was so good. 3 got BLT’s and I got the Beet Salad. They all loved their sandwiches with chips or macaroni salad and my Beet Salad was the best I ever had!!! They roast their beets to perfection. chopped walnuts crumbled goat cheese, sliced red onions, on wonderful salad greens, with a delicious balsamic mixture. It was so good. Service was so comforting such a sweet person and coffee and a most delicious cider donut and coffee for dessert. The best afternoon! We will certainly be back before long.”

“This is such a charming farm country store in Burnt Hills. Not only is the atmosphere inviting, but the selection of items makes it well worth the visit. While here, I was able to satisfy multiple impulses at once. I was able to find some delicious almong cookies with raspberry jam, maple cream, honey almond handsoap, and several candles that smell absolutely AMAZING.What I like aside from the great variety of items that they sell is the QUALITY. If you have a tendency to grasp as Shiney objects, you'll find quite a few here. But I can assure you that you most definitely get what you pay for. Their baked goods are unlike anything I've purchased at a country store before, and they have certainly gained my future patronage as a result.The staff was friendly and made me feel welcome, which was a surprise being a NYC native, where everyone is on guard. I think it would take several visits for me to truly take in all this place has to offer, but I endeavor to try! It's definitely worth the visit and money well spent.”

“We are happy to support a women owned business that has been family owned since 1866. Also pleased that the nearby Niskayuna Co-op carries their pies year round. The pies are 100% hand made! The Co-op takes orders at Thanksgiving. I put in an order and was amazed at the large tables filled with numerous pre ordered pies waiting for pickup. They were arranged by type. They are popular! My family likes the Apple Pie with a streusel top. Strawberry Rhubarb, and the mixed berry pie from Mourningkill. They make a sugar free Fruit of the Forest Pie. I like to make my own pumpkin pies. Their pies have a tender flavorful crust that is easy to slice and does not crumble. It does not taste mass produced like some commercial or frozen pies. Their pie fillings are not runny, so they slice and serve nicely. They make 10" and 5" pies. “I can’t recommend this place enough!!We stopped in for ice cream last Saturday afternoon and wound up staying until dark and also getting dinner here. We are looking forward to next Saturday for a repeat.Ice cream was great, with generous portions.The BBQ combos were excellent. Between everyone in our party we tried most things on the menu. Everything was delicious and cooked to perfection. No complaints even from our pickier eaters.The atmosphere was perfect. Something for everyone. “I have been wanting to come here for a long while not and finally did to celebrate my birthday with my mom. The most disappointing thing was all the empty seats around me. Our time slot was for 4 so my hope was just it being early in the night. The sweet Italian woman who served us was so kind and personable. It’s just her, her husband, and her son running the place. It’s a very unique and comfortable setting to enjoy dinner. Our food was delicious, it is near impossible to find somewhere that does frog legs so was a very nice treat. The stuffed Parmesan left my mom full and satisfied with left overs. Please go to dinner here, it is well worth it.”

“Big turnoff for us - charging us a big extra charge for credit cards. This is just a money grab, as it costs as much to deal with cash and checks for businesses as cards (just in a different way). Just price according to your business costs, and be glad for paying customers!Otherwise - We had good dinners - a good hearty sized burger platter and some fried shrimp (plenty). Some parts were a bit plain (canned cooked carrots as a veggie, or some old lettuce in the salad), but overall enjoyable food, pleasant service, and a casual atmosphere.”

“Today we had my Daughters Baby Shower at the Lyon Street Bar and Grill. The owner Dan Nelli was hands on, making sure everything was perfect .The venue was bright and spacious and comfortably accommodated the 65 attendees .The food was hot, homemade and delicious,Mr. Nelli went above and beyond by providing Macaroni and Cheese after noticing the many young children in attendance. The waitress who served our party was outstanding! I recommend the Lyon Street Bar and Grill for any special occasion you are celebrating. We will definitely use this venue for our next family event.”
