“We were in this area, traveling from Greenwich NY and super bummed we don’t live closer because the food was so good! Service was great, you can tell it is family owned and they take pride in making sure their customers are satisfied. The Monte Cristo sandwich is hard to find on menus and this one reminded me SO much of the one my gramma used to make, thick French toast bread and all. I did make a caveat and added Hollandaise over top like my gram used to do and it was perfection! 😋”

“Had an excellent dinner this evening at C & R. Started with a red wine sangria for me and a Heineken for my companion. We both ordered from the "specials" list.....broiled salmon for me, filet mignon for him. We both had salad with a tasty raspberry vinaigrette, companion also had a cup of Manhattan clam chowder. His steak was cooked perfectly to his specification (charred on the outside, medium on the inside.....not easy to do with a steak on the small side but the chef managed to pull it off). It was accompanied by french fries. I was presented with 2 beautiful pieces of salmon filet. There was no sauce or glaze on it but it didn't really need any. It was moist and delicious. And the vegetable medley served with it was also delicious. And it was all available at a very reasonable price.”

“OMG! The pies that I got were amazing!!! I got one cherry and one deep fudge. My office loved them! The taste is on point along with texture. We all enjoyed the pies for a co-worker's 65th birthday.

The pies taste wonderful the next day, and even the day after! They hold up well in the fridge.

“Fo Castle is a great place to take family, the pies were good the apples are delicious. The parking was okay and they can accommodate larger groups. The service was not too great, but the food was good and picnic tables outside were nice and you can walk around and in the store and enjoy some autumn fun.”

“Isla can bake! My family and I purchased a few delicious bites and my Dad still cannot stop raving about the Mocha Choco Latte Brownie. I personally loved the fruit tartlets! We went to a farmers market the next day for some baked goods but nothing compared to the delicious items from Isla's Divine Desserts. We will be back!”

“Stopped tonight and we enjoyed the whole experience right from the start. Our server, Audrey, was very pleasant, and the service was fantastic. We decided to have appetizers instead of a meal. We ordered bang, bang shrimp, Buffalo chicken egg rolls and Philly steak egg rolls. All three were exceptional. I’m having a hard time deciding which I liked the best. My husband thought the Philly steak egg rolls were the best. The Manager ( or owner, not sure which) stopped by our table at the request of our waitress. I thought that was really nice. We highly recommend Maxon’s and are looking forward to going again.”

“The food was great. Parking was plentiful. However, the service was the best I've ever experienced of any establishment in this area. Our food was finished real fast and the person who served my friend and I was so easygoing and professional. Another friendly woman came along quite regularly just to offer coffee refills. It doesn't seem like much, but little things matter. The people who run BHC seem to understand that and it was such a pleasure to visit and spend money there.”

The bathrooms were extremely clean and well decorated. I highly recommend Tinney’s Tavern for anyone wanting a great lunch or dinner.”

“Awesome hometown feel of a place. Great trivia. They do tons of other events weekly too. Great beer. They do food trucks which is so neat. But make sure to check website to see if they are having food truck when you go or else they only will have beer. Nice area inside but in the summer and fall they have huge outdoor patio with tons of tables, chairs, fire pits etc. Amazing family place.”

“We LOVE the restaurant, and recently decided to book for a private party upstairs and it was perfect—plenty of space, a great full bar up there, and delicious food. The staff was amazing: attentive to our guests, constantly replenishing food, and keeping the area clean by clearing plates and cups throughout the night. We also loved the cornhole and music, which really made the party feel fun and relaxed. We had a wonderful time and want to thank Tom and his team for helping create such great memories!”

“French onion soup is AMAZING and the ruben sandwich is very tasty too. Unfortunately the calamari was a bit overcooked BUT when the owner come over to simply ask how everything was and I mentioned it, he wisked it away and returned with a different appetizer- no questions asked. That is the type of service that has kept this local hometown restaurant tops in my book.
Would hands down recommend The Charlton Tavern any day of the week.”

“Tuman's Bar in 1969 was one of the bars I used to hang out with my friends that served me drinks when I was only 16. I had some great times there listening to Simon and Garfunkel's the sound of silence sitting at a booth in the back room kissing and swapping spit with a beautiful girl. Those were the good times in my memories.”

“We have been to Maria’s many times. We have setup for a grad party in the event room and been a guest in the event room also! The space is big, has a food area, a bar and more. Perfect for any event!”

“Mr. Wok is our local Chinese take-out restaurant. (They do have a couple of tables for people who might want to eat in, but, as far as I know, there is no table service. In addition, the atmosphere is basic "take-out," not "eat-in." \n\nThey have a large selection of dishes, including some low-sodium options. My wife and I have always found their food to be very good. Their service is fast, and the staff is always friendly.”

“I will say MOST of our food was really good - the salad was just ok . They charged me $2 for extra Guac but did not send it ( pick up order ) The flan was just ok, & steak was dry - on the tacos. What’s disappointing is that the parking lot at 7 pm, was empty except for 1 car . So not a busy busy night. Next time we will hit up Tequila J for comparison.”
