“First time at a Dave's Hot Chicken! Very good chicken. I got the mild which wasn't hot at all. I'll kick it up a couple more notches next time. I definitely liked Dave's more than the other chicken sandwich restaurant. The one that's not open on Sunday.”

“I had my sisters 40th birthday dinner there with 28 people. Antonio worked with me in planning the event. He was great and so accommodating. Our waitress Marlene was fantastic. She was friendly and upbeat. Great customer service. The food was delicious. We were on the new patio , it was perfect. I couldn’t have asked for anything better.”

“Came here on our last night in town and I must say it’s an amazing atmosphere. We have two little ones and it was a perfect experience with them. Our table ordered the meatloaf, Adirondack Chicken and Chicken and Biscuits and the food came out quick and was delicious. We can’t wait to come back and sit up in the loft. If you’re looking for a cozy Adirondack dining experience you must visit.”

“Enough fries to sink a battleship.

The battleship being my stomach, because wow, it was like they filled up the large cup with the fries I got and then just tossed in an extra cup into the bag itself. Amazing.

Ordered in person, going with the large Cajun Fries, a Grilled Cheese, the Veggie Sandwich, and a BLP. (bacon, lettuce, and pickles) All together coming to a bit over $29, very reasonable considering the sheer volume of fries they include.

Could help but snack on the fries as I drove home with my goodie bag, and man, the cajun seasoning is super. A tad spicy, not too salty, and the fries are all evenly coated. The fries themselves were also super fresh, very hot, but not so much that they burned my mouth. Back home I more or less inhaled the grilled cheese, which was super cheesy. Though I would have preferred a crispier exterior. The veggie sandwich was refreshing and cut through the heavier options I ran with, and my choice of adding BBQ sauce and pickles instead of tomatoes made it taste like a meatless burger. And lastly the BLP, so much crispy bacon, and with it being on a burger bun had an added effect of letting the crispy texture of the bacon stand out more. If I had the option I think I would have added cheese to the veggie, and maybe tossed some of my fries into the BLP as an extra layer.

And while I was not inside very long, I found the staff to be very hard working and well oiled. No bickering, no slouching, everyone was doing something and doing it well.

Overall, a very pleasant experience and a darn good dinner.”

The new owner has really done a good job from what I understand, since it used to have a reputation for being pretty trashy.It was clean and updated inside and out. “Just as good as it always was. Went there today after years of not living in Amsterdam (used to be a frequent customer when I lived in the area) . Perfect ambience. Food was amazing, service was above average our waitress handled the whole dining room in such a good way. She was super attentive, but didn’t hassle us to eat quickly. Even bought some sauce to take home because it was so good. Thank you Russos staff for a wonderful Mother’s Day weekend meal. 5 stars all the way”

“Tuman's Bar in 1969 was one of the bars I used to hang out with my friends that served me drinks when I was only 16. I had some great times there listening to Simon and Garfunkel's the sound of silence sitting at a booth in the back room kissing and swapping spit with a beautiful girl. Those were the good times in my memories.”

“Awesome cafe. Hours aren't same as laundymat. Wednesday and Saturday closes at 2, closed Sundays, all other days closes at 4. Great coffee and food while waiting for laundry. We loved it on our first visit but cafe was closed last couple times so asked for hours. Very sweet and helpful employee. I don't give 5 stars often but she was a 10! Will definitely be back! Kudos!”

“I went to Raindancer. Amazing appetizer. The salad came if they took other people’s left over salad & just threw it on a plate. Sloppy presentation. Waitress apologized saying she had to prepare the salad. No one was working in the kitchen. Then the 12 oz Prime Rib was full of fat. Manager just cut the fat off & told us she prepared another Prime rib. We were charged full price for the meal, that took long. The had was small and barely noticed it was stuffed. Disappointed. The food & service usually is great. Don’t known what happened.”

“The girl there is really rude, her customer service was bad, I usually visit this place once or twice a month, star is usually there and she is very professional but today was not good. I am a person who gives tips but the way I was treated today on 5/14/2024 was unacceptable. She charged me extra money for a container to put my food in it. I can’t wait to see star to speak to her about this situation

“I would love to give 5 stars because the pizza was incredible, but you get 4 stars because whoever was running take out yesterday was a complete dick. Sorry that my wife and I were first timers and never have been in before and had to find out where you guys are located and ended being a few mins late picking up our order. Just so everyone knows he wanted to charge us a late fee lol. And when saying we never been here before we get “oh you never been to Amsterdam before?” So that being said maybe we will be back, maybe we won’t because the food is very well. Maybe that guy won’t be there when we go. Very disappointing for a decent pizza. I also won’t un recommend either but I will be sure to warn people to be there on time or you’ll have what happened to us.”

“The food was good but the service was awful. This was our first time here and we drove an hour to come. We waited 20 minutes for our drinks and then of course got our own food since it's a buffet. On our way out, the owner came up to us and said how was my girl (waitress)? We said good everything was good. he said then why didn't you leave a tip? We paid enough for our food and all they did was bring us a drink with no refills. I'm sorry but maybe you should pay your waitresses enough because tipping isn't necessary at a buffet.”

“I’m a regular at this location. I come in the morning with my daughter and sit down to enjoy a coffee. The staff are all very kind and my order is always made correctly. Guest experience overall: ten out of ten.”

“Our local Ruby Tuesdays closed so we drove to the nearest one about 35 minutes away because we had a gift card and really missed their salad bar.

Salad bar was stocked and lots of options.
We got the spinach artichoke dip and 2 salad bars for $26. Wife got a strawberry Lemonade that was very good. Highly recommend all.

Couple thoughts:
Dip needed salt.
Salad bar needs boiled egg.
Skip the coleslaw.”

“A really saucy pizza, but not in a good way.

Placed an order over the phone for a small Chicken Teriyaki pizza and Fried Calamari, was told it would be about 30 minutes. On my way over I got a call but I figured it was just the place letting me know it was ready, turns out they were trying to let me know they were out of calamari. Oh well.

Arrived and paid for the pizza, coming to just under $20. The pizza look good, smelled good, and had a nice weight to it. I was a little disappointed about the calamari, but not enough to dock any stars. Especially since they did call me to see if I wanted anything different.

Back home I found the pizza to be, well, too sweet. I think they perchance went a little too ham with the teriyaki sauce, resulting in it overpowering the more meaty and savory flavors. I had also requested the garlic parmesan crust, but the flavor was just not there, it was so bland and dull. Paired with the sweet flavor of the sauce, it almost had the effect of becoming closer to fried dough than anything like pizza crust. In the end, while it still satisfied me, or in other words "I ate it because I was hungry", it was not great by any means.

I think if they had gone much lighter with the drizzling of the teriyaki sauce, the rest of the pizza would have stood a chance at fighting to be present on the pallet.”
