“We tried Lorenzo's Southside for the first time last night for takeout. It was excellent! The Calamari Fritti was hand-breaded and unique in flavor, not your run-of-the-mill calamari. I had the Veal Milanese, which was tender and outstanding; the arugula and balsamic made the dish seem light while the Stracciatella added just the right amount of creaminess and balance. My husband had the Gnocchi Brasata; the short rib and sauce were incredibly flavorful although the gnocchi was slightly denser than expected but still delicious. I also had the carrot cake, which was hands-down the best I've ever eaten in my life. For the quality of the food (everything handmade), I felt the pricing was excellent. We had 2 meat entrees, 1 pasta course, 1 appetizer and 2 desserts for just over $103. I'm not sure how anyone could complain about that price. We will definitely return to Lorenzo's. Highly recommend!”
“We were out looking for a spot for breakfast late on a Saturday morning. We went here at the suggestion of our daughter, who worked her way through school in restaurants. This is a charming, country kitchen that is very clean. It is handicapped accessible. We were greeted by, Rain, the owner. She was very personable and made a fresh pot of decaf for us. While the coffee was brewing we took a look at the menu. It is a combination of traditional diner fare and some breakfast specialty omelettes. Two of the omelettes, the Italian and the Sicilian caught my eye. When Rain came to take our order, I asked if she was Italian, as we are. She replied that she was, immediately asking what part of Italy my family is from, something only one Italian would ask another. I asked if she could make a frittata. She said yes. It was excellent. Rain said she may add it to the menu. A good frittata in the capital district is hard to find. This place checks all of the boxes: great food, service and ambiance. One mile from Thruway exit 27 in Amsterdam. We'll be back.”
“Excellent food and very reasonable prices, which is hard enough to come by these days and the crew are super friendly and helpful if I lived closer I'd definitely make this a regular spot!”
“I got the Ployboy burger. Ordered medium well. Burger was juicy and cooked to my liking. Staff was friendly and a beautiful atmosphere. Prices are reasonable. Highly recommend.”
“Felt very homely, service was amazing and the food was just great. They were out of the mango lassi and said they would make another glass just for me.Vegetarian options: Vegetarian options were readily accessible and clearly labeled.”
“I love this place employees are so welcoming and informative, willing to give suggestions. There are so many flavors of shakes and energy bombs to pick from. As well as many other health and fitness related consumables. Always a pleasant experience for my kids and I.”
“I give Five Guys top ratings .. for not only is the food delicious.. but there has never been a time that I have visited where the whole team is just so friendly and positive one can't help but take in there energy.. great staff !!!!”
“The food was delicious. The prices are fair. They toys outside for the children to play with really impressed me. The sitting options also impressed me. The only thing I would recommend is a fan outside for the warmer days as there is not much shade. The cashier was pleasant. I can honestly say this place is really a happy place. ?Kid-friendliness: Lots of toys the little ones can enjoy free of charge.”
“Great staff, spot on breakfast... perfectly poached eggs, extra crispy home fries ( they'll throw them in the deep fry for ya!), good breads and delicious coffee. Strong, consistent work ethics and family atmosphere. Excellent ?”
“One of the best pizza’s I’ve had in the area. Recently moved to the Galway area and have tried half a dozen places before finding Joes. Thin, delicious sauce, great crust. A perfect NY Slice.”
“Almost let the outside of the place chase is away..... boy would that have been a big mistake. As soon as you walk in, there is a bar. The bar was filled with locals however, most were friendly and said hello as we walked past. The seating area is small, but quaint. You felt like you were at your old uncle Nino's house. The Wait staff were friendly and courteous, but more importantly, the food was fantastic. Coming from an Italian girl who makes her own sauce, their sauce was a work of art! My highly recommend that if you're in Amsterdam that you've popped in for a taste.”
“I had a little bit of a wait but well worth it they definitely made good by it and by the food!!!! I’ve been up and through buffalo to here this spot is in top 10 out of the 100+ I’ve tried the artichoke pizza is ???”
“They consistently make delicious pizza. My favorite is their thick crust style. I have been getting pizza from them for 60 years and it's just as good as it was when I was a kid. Not many places can claim that but Bottisti's can.”
“This was our 2nd visit to this cute little place. It's super cute, but after a 2nd try, idk if I'd go again. It's so cute, I had high hopes for it. The food was ok, the service was ok.... l expected a bit more "hometown" type service. Our waitress was quick to our table, but didn't check back once we had our meal.”
“My kids introduced me to this establishment last week.I didn't know what to expect, but I like hot!!!There is no shortage of heat here!!!The idea of using dry rub instead of sauce for heat, it makes the all difference. If you appreciate flavor profiles you will appreciate the sliders. The combination of hot chicken, sweet sauce, and crisp clean (non vinegary) coleslaw is on point.Great thought went into this simple but complex taste.I will definitely be frequenting this establishment.Thank you kids you actually showed me something for once...”
