“Almost let the outside of the place chase is away..... boy would that have been a big mistake. As soon as you walk in, there is a bar. The bar was filled with locals however, most were friendly and said hello as we walked past. The seating area is small, but quaint. You felt like you were at your old uncle Nino's house. The Wait staff were friendly and courteous, but more importantly, the food was fantastic. Coming from an Italian girl who makes her own sauce, their sauce was a work of art! My highly recommend that if you're in Amsterdam that you've popped in for a taste.“
“Never been until last night. Glad we decided to check it out. Nice place! The new owner has really done a good job from what I understand, since it used to have a reputation for being pretty trashy.It was clean and updated inside and out. Great fire pit and nice job knowing to just burn the wood for nice atmosphere!!Band played in a great spot with good acoustics in the room.Might be my new regular spot!!“
“After trying to catch a few spots at the 9:30 hour on a Thursday we learned quickly to call first no matter what the hours are. After several failed attempts we found this cozy spot. Lots of action on the televisions and a lively group of patrons enjoying adult beverages. We ordered the mac and cheese bites and bbq wings with a Heineken. Good food and beer with a friendly staff. Would return, but make sure to bring cash they don't take credit cards....“
“My wife and I try to make it to Russo's at least once a month, it is just great home style Italian meals that will leave you feeling like someone has to roll you out the door. For the low price, the portions are huge and with everything being homemade the flavors of all the dishes are pretty self explanatory. The history of Russo's is very cool and says a lot about the food due to it being around for over 50 years. The service is good but when it's busy it can be very slow. I would suggest trying the pizza there, the homemade dough topped off with marinara will blow away your taste buds, the crust is crispy and there is no lack of cheese or toppings!“
“Tuman's Bar in 1969 was one of the bars I used to hang out with my friends that served me drinks when I was only 16. I had some great times there listening to Simon and Garfunkel's the sound of silence sitting at a booth in the back room kissing and swapping spit with a beautiful girl. Those were the good times in my memories.“
“A small Italian Restaurant that has been there 50 years. I can see why. Seafood bisque with all kinds of seafood chunks! Shrimp fra Diavolo was spiced just right with huge shrimp. So good! My wife’s Bolognese was great a big enough to feed two!“
“While the food was decent enough, and edible, it just wasn't "pleasing". I ordered an Omelette, expecting what I am used to. Instead, it was as if the cook tried to wrap up all the ingredients, into a tight square instead. Not to mention that what I ordered, was all packed very tightly onto 1 small plate, giving me no room really, to cut into my food. The person I was with, ordered Eggs Benedict. One of the portions was a mess, with the egg being on the plate itself, and the meat being on the other side of the plate. She also mentioned that the "sauce" used, wasn't all that tasty, and not like anything she had had before. The atmosphere was fine, just as you would expect from a Diner in a smaller area. The service was fantastic tho, the waitress was very friendly and right on top of everything. Prices were reasonable for the area as well.“
“I can’t say enough great things about Creekside. We had my family here after my mother’s funeral and my family enjoyed great food, wonderful service, clean restrooms, and an attentive bar staff. My family raved about the atmosphere and food and how this place was just perfect! This is just a wonderful place to have an event and the chef was just amazing!“
