“The Tavern has been in business a long time. Used to be called The Clam Steam Tavern. Was and maybe still is, a popular country music venue. My dad was a country and western singer and played there a lot in the 50's. Maybe even in the late 40's. A nostalgic band stand and dance floor is still there and looks like it is in use. The food is standard bar food but very good. I do not eat seafood however my wife does and really likes the clams. Enjoy eating on the outside porch. Will be back this summer.“

Yes I’m showing my age with that reference - 80’s babyyyy - but this dive bar is IT!
This place has some of the best cocktails I’ve had, easily rivaling overpriced drinks in Manhattan - shout out to Tom!
If you have no idea what you want to drink, no worries, talk to the bartenders, they’ll help you, might even whip up something creative on the spot.
Monday nights belong to Brian the bacon guru, baby I eat pork again when I roll up here on a Monday (I pay for it later too, well worth it, lol).

The patrons are some of the most diverse and amazingly chill group of folks I’ve encountered since moving from the multicultural NYC life - Bx to be exact - to the parts up yonder.

The owner, Joe, is one of the kindest humans, and honey like attracts like, because his team definitely match his energy, they are hands down, some of my favorite people up here! Special shout out to Victoria & Corrine ❤️!

“Second visit update: So I returned for dinner with a friend of mine and we ordered the shrimp tacos appetizer, sea bass with risotto with cheese and potatoes entree, the cod fish Reuben sandwich entree and the crème brûlée. Sea bass had too much salt but everything else was okay. Our final bill was just under $100 so this place honestly seems too expensive to drop in often as I had originally hoped. I recently moved to the area and have been meaning to try this place for ever since I moved here. Tonight is one of the first warm nights of this spring and I was in the mood for a non-alcoholic beer and fries. So I walked around to peek at the top 5 Yelp choices for bar restaurants near me. One across the street I already went too in the past and it was all college students but this place Emry’s was more my vibe and most importantly it’s not brightly lit like the other nearby bar restaurants. Service was some of the best because they properly staff the bar here so no waiting forever to order and they all were very attentive. Lastly, I’m usually not a big fan of skinny French fries but these were freshly cut hand made (not frozen) and you can really taste the difference. Honestly the French fries here are some of the best I have had anywhere. This is now my go to local spot!“

“We stopped in to our first time tonight at a little before 6pm. Promptly seated, great menu, cool atmosphere. Natasha A was our server, and was exceptional. Sweet, bubbly personality, great recommendations, and attentive without hovering. Food was awesome. Shrimp ceviche, Birria fries, and burritos were all delicious. Large portions. “Whenever I fly out of Albany Airport, I always stop by Hudson's for a pre-flight drink. I've consistently had positive experiences—friendly bartenders and quick service every time. It's also conveniently located near most of the airlines I fly with, which makes it an easy stop. I haven’t tried the food yet, so I can’t speak to that, but I definitely recommend grabbing a drink here if you’ve got a little time before your flight!“

I wish there was more of him around. makes my visit that much more enjoyable . if you are looking for food this is the wrong place.
