“Such a wonderful neighborhood bar. Bartenders are very polite and on top of things. Recently renovated, and very clean! Brand new bathrooms. Pool, pinball, darts and a gaming system. They also have Quick Draw. And of course pub fare is always available!“

Peckhams Place, or as my friends affectionately call it - Peckerhams, has been a favorite spot for locals in the village of Scotia for decades, and was introduced to me as "the place we go when we aren't ready for the night to end" when I first moved here. Peckhams is under new ownership this year, and we are loving what we've seen with the changes, so far. It is the same local basement bar atmosphere we love to love [I'm talking decent beer prices ("i pay less for a Wolf Hollow here than AT Wolf Hollw"), sports on TV, a pool table and space to be with your people] but with more UMPH and interest than recent years. I was THRILLED to see a live music scheduled throughout the year and have been excited by other events they've shared on social media, including offering a Turkey Dinner for anyone who may not have family and wanted to come by to eat and celebrate together on Thanksgiving. [and then my heart grew three sizes.] Added bonus: according to their website, Peckhams Place is now able to accommodate parties up to 75 people and they offer catering by Ruggiero's.“
“Incredible restaurant in downtown Schenectady. Came in for lunch on a busy Friday afternoon with my daughter, and we were promptly seated. Ordered the FGBLT (Fried green tomato BLT with green godess dressing) 10/10- highly recommend. Waitress was delightful and easy to talk to,was nearby if you needed something but didn't hover. We will be back to check out their brunch menu.“
“My friend and I were grateful that the table requested (booth) was provided. We both had the grilled cheese (we both asked and received the alteration of Swiss cheese only) and the tomato bisque soup. Delicious! Server was appropriately attentive and efficient, and professional.“
“My father and I came here for my early birthday dinner. The atmosphere of the restaurant was amazing, and the decor was beautiful. Our waitress was very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. We started off with the brussel sprouts and the beet salad, both of which were fabulous. For our entrees we got the short rib ragout, the broccoli rabe and sausage pasta, and the lemon herb haddock. Everything was phenomenal and the portions were large. Our experience was so great that I’m booking them for my graduation dinner. We can’t wait to go back soon!!“

“The food was very good, but this is my second time going there and each time they've messed up my bill and overcharged me. I caught it the first time, and missed it the second time. I didn't get an itemized receipt to verify the charges were correct. I don't think I'd go back because of that reason.“
“I love this place! Believe me, everything you read about the chicken wings here is spot on. They are meaty, juicy, and delicious. Jen helped me out and she couldn't have been nicer. She even started singing behind the bar! That's the kind of neighborhood spot this is. It feels like it's been around for 100 years and everyone is made to feel welcome. I can't wait to return because there were so many items on the menu and so many beers on tap it's impossible to conquer it all on just one visit. This is the perfect dive bar.“
“It was my first time at the Bourbon, I had the best experience ever thanks to Lucy and Jim They treated so good and welcomed me so well. “Best Ramen I had! Nothing like your typical Ramen soup you buy at grocery store. I got the seafood Ramen and broth was so good! The shrimp were huge and it had Japanese scallops, which are very different than regular scallops, they looked like clams. Overall a very yummy soup! Next time I am trying the pool ramen!“
“Last Saturday night was so much fun! We came in for a comedy show, and decided to come a little early for apps and drinks. Our waitress was super nice and talked us into sharing a sandwich with our apps. The French onion soup was delish just like everyone told us it was. The portions are huge! I watched what people were ordering around us and I couldn't believe the portion size“
“All together, everything turned out to be pretty mediocre.Tried to order online but the preferred service wouldn't allow me to check out, something to do with the menu prices being incorrect. So I called in the order, which at first they stated they don't do, but after my explanation their online system was borked they relented and took it.Went with the onion rings and the waffles and chicken, and came to around $31 before tip. Had put in my pickup for 4:00PM but when I arrived at 4:05PM the order still wasn't ready. In fact I ended up sitting at the bar area until 4:20PM, a rather significant delay for the order I placed at noon time.Got home and dug in, immediately being disappointed in the onion rings for their size. They're the shoestring variety, which is great for on sandwiches and salads, but as an appetizer or finger food they are kind of annoying to consume. The rings are just far too small to properly enjoy. That said, the dip that came with them paired perfectly. Then there was the chicken of the chicken and waffles which was beyond salty, I think the chef might have accidentally poured a tad to much salt into the buttermilk breading. Could almost feel my blood pressure going up. The waffles were alright though, the spicy honey butter they were topped with had soaked into the waffles and made them soft and sweet. Though not spicy at all.Overall it was an alright way to end the week, probably could have been better, but I'm satisfied.“
“Good place to hang great bar tenders! There's one dude that hangs out there around lunch time that is very negative and thinks he owns the bar. He will not allow you to play certain music I'll just have to go when he's not there“
“My favorite place in the 518 for Pizza. The wait is worth it! Thin, crispy and fresh tasty ingredients. Closest to NYC style you can find upstate. Best to call in the morning for a pick up time. Only open 4 days a week. 7.9 from El Presidente. Good stuff!“

“I was surprised at how expensive it was. It is a very nice place. The food was excellent and service good. And the ambiance is unique and interesting. However, the prices were unreasonable high, for my taste. For example, one of us had a hamburger - $18 and a draft beer $9.“
“Heritage bar and fly and shaker road. Nice bar they have popcorn and nuts. They don't serve food, but if you want something to eat. There's a Stewart's right next store. It's a very nice atmosphere. Have a lot on tap Blue Moon course to name a few.Love you check it out, we did.“
“Our choice for Schenectady Restaurant Week was Turf Tavern in Scotia, we have never been....it was delicious! I ordered off the restaurant week menu, Spinach Artichoke Dip, Prime Rib, Creme Brulee (this also came with a salad). Hubby had a Wedge Salad and the Sweet Cherry Pepper Pulled Pork. Everything was cooked perfectly and had excellent flavor, although I did need a little salt...Service was friendly and attentive. We will definitely be back!“
