“Our choice for Schenectady Restaurant Week was Turf Tavern in Scotia, we have never been....it was delicious! I ordered off the restaurant week menu, Spinach Artichoke Dip, Prime Rib, Creme Brulee (this also came with a salad). Hubby had a Wedge Salad and the Sweet Cherry Pepper Pulled Pork. Everything was cooked perfectly and had excellent flavor, although I did need a little salt...Service was friendly and attentive. We will definitely be back!”
“I got a deluxe cheeseburger with bacon and large fry, with a peanut butter and chocolate shake for dessert! Everything was excellent, if you live in the area 100% worth going to!!”
“I have been ordering from here for over a year now and always have a pleasant experience. The food is delicious and always done quickly. It is decently priced. The people there are always so nice as well!Kid-friendliness: It seems very family friendly :)”
“Awesome Pizza and great service. Love there customer service the Owners are awesome Everytime we come back in. I would recommend this place to my friends and Family .”
“the food is fantastic. I have not had a drink here yet, but I will soon. I ordered on line. And asked for the sauce on the side. That did not happen, by the time I got home I was too far to go back.”
“Jumping Jacks Drive-In is an absolute gem! Despite the always-full parking lot, it's no mystery why this place is bustling with patrons - it's simply that good! From the moment you pull in, you're greeted with the welcoming sight of friendly staff and the enticing aroma of delicious food wafting through the air. Their menu boasts a variety of cheap and mouthwatering options that never disappoint. Whether you're craving a classic burger and fries or something a bit more adventurous, they've got you covered. And let's not forget about their ice cream - while they may only offer two flavors daily/weekly, each cone of soft serve is an absolute delight. Sure, there may be a bit of a wait, but trust me, it's well worth it. Plus, the lively atmosphere only adds to the overall experience. Jumping Jacks Drive-In has rightfully earned its reputation as a beloved staple in the community, and it's easy to see why. 10/10 would recommend to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience!Parking: Free big parking lot but hard to find parking anywhere nearby at peak hoursKid-friendliness: Good place for kids with a playground across the streetWheelchair accessibility: All one level”
“It's a nice little place to eat. They tend to do a wing buffet on Saturdays and it's surprising how good the wings are when all you have to pay is ~$20 to eat as many as you want. The service was very nice and I liked the atmosphere.”
“Not too many places serve salad before 10:00 in the morning and I Googled salad restaurants in the area in this place came up I've never been there before so I figured I'd try it out. When I came in I was greeted at the door and I told them that I've never there before and they showed me the menu and told me how I could make my own salad. The staff was very helpful and kind. I ordered their large salad and picked my five items, everything was fresh and they made the salad very quickly. I took my salad home and put it in a bigger bowl so I could spread it out to put my salad dressing on and I could not believe how huge it was, I'll definitely have to save some for dinner! Good service and food I highly recommend! I will definitely go back! Oh and I really like how they have pickled jalapenos and onions two of my favorite toppings”
“I dont like upstate ny pizza that much. But this place is unmatched. Crust is sturdy, crispy, and holds structure under weight kf toppings. Perfect amount of greese on the cheese. Slice size is pretty large. Buffalo chicken slices are godly. The girl who works the counter is very sweet and FAST. Overall a home run pizza ”
“3.7 stars rounding to 4; this is a good dive/local bar. Peckhams Place, or as my friends affectionately call it - Peckerhams, has been a favorite spot for locals in the village of Scotia for decades, and was introduced to me as "the place we go when we aren't ready for the night to end" when I first moved here. Peckhams is under new ownership this year, and we are loving what we've seen with the changes, so far. It is the same local basement bar atmosphere we love to love [I'm talking decent beer prices ("i pay less for a Wolf Hollow here than AT Wolf Hollw"), sports on TV, a pool table and space to be with your people] but with more UMPH and interest than recent years. I was THRILLED to see a live music scheduled throughout the year and have been excited by other events they've shared on social media, including offering a Turkey Dinner for anyone who may not have family and wanted to come by to eat and celebrate together on Thanksgiving. [and then my heart grew three sizes.] Added bonus: according to their website, Peckhams Place is now able to accommodate parties up to 75 people and they offer catering by Ruggiero's.”
“Very very busy when we went in. A huge birthday party going on in the back party room. Didn't hear it but you could see. We waited a while to be seated and then over 30 minutes food. But we'll cut them some slack they were so busy. Food was good. The California roll was a little mushy. A very weird thing is there was no tea offered You have to order it, not a big deal but would have been nice. We'll go back”
“Just what you'd expect from a Chinese take out, except that the food is quite good! I eat here regularly, and the consistency is always there as well. Highly recommend.”
“I've been coming here since I was a kid (aprx 15 years). Best spring rolls I've ever had. All the food here is good. Decent quantity vs. price ratio. Love this place.Vegetarian options: Standard vegetable dishes.”
“I have been going to J & T's Cafe for many years. The food and service is always consistently good. What really takes it over the top are the freshly homade soups, which there is 6 or more varieties. Everything is prepared fresh everyday, and the best home cooked food around. The clientele that frequent this establishment are also very pleasant, which also is an indication of their satisfaction with this establishment. For those few disgruntled customers, take your frustration out on your wives or significant other. John and the crew at J & T's are aces.”
