Came across this old neighborhood joint unintentionally. Our usual go-to in Amsterdam was closed last time we were passing through at mealtime. Found this place on yelp. On a back street in a beat neighborhood (this IS Amsterdam, right) the sort of place you'd never find because you'd never deliberately drive through a slum neighborhood on purpose. Been coming here for 40 years... best calzones! Not fast, but delicious, be prepared to relax and stay awhile.Parking: Parking across the street and a smaller parking area next to the restaurant.

Almost let the outside of the place chase is away..... boy would that have been a big mistake. As soon as you walk in, there is a bar.
