“I visited again a couple of days ago with a friend. Service with a smile and great food! We shared s jalepeno popper app. I had the pork w stuffing special and my friend had the open faced turkey dinner. For dessert I had peanut butter chocolate cream pie, my friend had the cherry chocolate cream pie. Everything was delish!Unique interesting decore, great food, awesome service and great prices. If you leave hungry, it's your own fault!Parking: Parking is tight and over flows to the street.”

“Big turnoff for us - charging us a big extra charge for credit cards. This is just a money grab, as it costs as much to deal with cash and checks for businesses as cards (just in a different way). Just price according to your business costs, and be glad for paying customers!Otherwise - We had good dinners - a good hearty sized burger platter and some fried shrimp (plenty). Some parts were a bit plain (canned cooked carrots as a veggie, or some old lettuce in the salad), but overall enjoyable food, pleasant service, and a casual atmosphere.”

“My kids introduced me to this establishment last week.I didn't know what to expect, but I like hot!!!There is no shortage of heat here!!!The idea of using dry rub instead of sauce for heat, it makes the all difference. If you appreciate flavor profiles you will appreciate the sliders. “We were out looking for a spot for breakfast late on a Saturday morning. We went here at the suggestion of our daughter, who worked her way through school in restaurants. This is a charming, country kitchen that is very clean. It is handicapped accessible. We were greeted by, Rain, the owner. She was very personable and made a fresh pot of decaf for us. While the coffee was brewing we took a look at the menu. It is a combination of traditional diner fare and some breakfast specialty omelettes. Two of the omelettes, the Italian and the Sicilian caught my eye. When Rain came to take our order, I asked if she was Italian, as we are. She replied that she was, immediately asking what part of Italy my family is from, something only one Italian would ask another. I asked if she could make a frittata. She said yes. It was excellent. Rain said she may add it to the menu. A good frittata in the capital district is hard to find. This place checks all of the boxes: great food, service and ambiance. One mile from Thruway exit 27 in Amsterdam. We'll be back.”

“We tried Lorenzo's Southside for the first time last night for takeout. It was excellent! The Calamari Fritti was hand-breaded and unique in flavor, not your run-of-the-mill calamari. I had the Veal Milanese, which was tender and outstanding; the arugula and balsamic made the dish seem light while the Stracciatella added just the right amount of creaminess and balance. My husband had the Gnocchi Brasata; the short rib and sauce were incredibly flavorful although the gnocchi was slightly denser than expected but still delicious. I also had the carrot cake, which was hands-down the best I've ever eaten in my life. For the quality of the food (everything handmade), I felt the pricing was excellent. We had 2 meat entrees, 1 pasta course, 1 appetizer and 2 desserts for just over $103. I'm not sure how anyone could complain about that price. We will definitely return to Lorenzo's. Highly recommend!”

My wife had a amaretto sour to start off with, which I stole a few sips from her because it was really good. The Bacon Blue Burger was probably the best in the area. “I really like it here because they have a good menu selection. The prices are reasonable in comparison to other similar places. It's a hometown kind of restaurant where everyone knows everyone else. It's a " hey, hello, how have you been" kind of greeting every time you walk in. That's nice. I particularly enjoy their subs. Fresh bread and a good amount of meat on the sub. I've also enjoyed the antipasto salad with their homemade Italian dressing. It really is like my grandmother used to make and that was a favorite too. The owner Frank is always there with a smile on his face and it is always busy in there. I would recommend trying this place if you haven't already.”

“We went here for the first time yesterday as we were driving through. A small little place but service and food was excellent. We were waited on by multiple friendly waitresses. The food was phenomenal. Flavored and seasoned well. It was busy as could be but that didn’t stop them from providing excellent service and food to us. The home fries with onions were some of the best I have ever had. My omelette was fresh and delicious. My fiancé got the smoked ham and egg’s special and was impressed by the flavor and presentation. We didn’t have cash (cash only establishment) but they provider an ATM. We will be stopping in here a lot more for another delicious breakfast!”

“Almost let the outside of the place chase is away..... boy would that have been a big mistake. As soon as you walk in, there is a bar. The bar was filled with locals however, most were friendly and said hello as we walked past. The seating area is small, but quaint. You felt like you were at your old uncle Nino's house. The Wait staff were friendly and courteous, but more importantly, the food was fantastic. Coming from an Italian girl who makes her own sauce, their sauce was a work of art! My highly recommend that if you're in Amsterdam that you've popped in for a taste.”

“Went to the deli today and my youngest (7) wanted a cheese roll up like they have at taco bell. It isn't on the menu but we asked and they nailed it! It was 4 times the size too! Their food is always delicious and the staff is absolutely amazing!Vegetarian options: There are plenty of vegetarian options. You can create a wrap, sandwich, pizza, etc. however you want it. There are so many toppings to pick from.Kid-friendliness: There is a chalk board wall that kids can doodle on.”
