Let's start with the atmosphere. What I noticed first is that it is very clean. Decorations were sparse but pleasant. Plenty of room, the tables are not crowded together which is really nice. We heard an acoustic duo and the music wasn't too loud, the room had a nice sound for music. Service... I didn't get our waitresses name but she was super sweet. She did a great job and I think she may have been the only server on the floor. Food... Parts of the meal were great... others not so much and these parts could be fixed so quickly. The bad... the rolls and butter clearly store bought rolls and heated, request for more they were cold out of the package. The salad was beyond basic. I asked for blue cheese dressing, I believe maybe they ran out and it was basically sour cream with some crumbles in it. If this is the normal blue cheese dressing they need to change that. Again, so minor in the big picture but this is how the meal starts so it just sets the mood. Now to the main course... My friend ordered the Steak Marsala and I ordered the crab stuffed haddock. We thought she was going to get a steak... with a side of pasta it was slices of steak on a HUGE bed of pasta with a thick marsala sauce on the pasta. Tasty but should not be listed as a steak. This is a pasta dish with meat on top. The crab stuffed haddock was excellent. I had it with a side of mashed potatoes which were very nice and the veggie medley was tasty and still had some crisp to it, not mushy at all. I recommend this dish and would have it again. I would go back for sure.

My husband and I won a gift certificate to the Local Dining and Spirits and went on Friday 12/08/23. The atmosphere was great, the bar is stunning and the restaurant was beautifully decorated for the holidays. My husband ordered the French Onion Soup and the Burger with cheddar & bacon and loved every bite. Their french fries that came with it were oh so good - almost addicting! I ordered the Beef Empanadas which were AMAZING and the Chicken Wings with Sweet & Sassy sauce. I didn't prefer the sauce and the wings were a little overcooked, but they were gracious enough to cook me a new order with Garlic Parm sauce and they were great! We are very happy with our experience and will DEFINATELY be back to try some more items from the menu.

Great place for dinner. Food was great and excellent drink selection. Dylan was a great host. Didn’t even skip a beat when I had to ask him to unzip my jacket for me since I’d lost a bet and had to wear it to dinner backwards. :) Feel free to do the same and let him know Freedom says hello.

I enjoyed dinner at The Local last evening. The food was exceptional. I had Fish Tacos. The fish was fresh and they were topped with a delicious creamy Cole Slaw with fresh Pico de Gallo which also was very fresh and perfectly seasoned. My dining companion had Crispy Shrimp over Pimento Mac and cheese. She raved about the flavor and requested a box as the serving was very generousThis restaurant is a very welcome addition to Northville, in my opinion. I will be returning soon.

if you eat here make sure you have a lot of time to spare food comes out slow over hour and a half before we got to eat food was ok service don't come to your table to asked if you wanted drinks don't waist your time

Had the blackened blue salad and it was amazing. The steak portions were huge and the meat with cooked perfectly med rare to my request and was tender and tasty. Others in the party enjoyed a chicken salad a burger and a chicken special. Everything was 5-star with the exception of the chicken with mashed potatoes gravy and canned cranberry sauce. The food prep was slow but they were just transitioning from breakfast to lunch so maybe that was a contributing factor. All in all we'd return!
