Best place for sushi but I think its kinda overpriced.Service is only good when it's not busy, otherwise you'll be waiting forever to get your food.

AJ's "Crab Shack & Bar" is really a sushi place masquerading as a Cajun restaurant. Sure, they do have a handful of seafood boils and offer po'boy sandwiches, but the menu is predominantly the type of food you would find in a very mediocre Japanese/sushi restaurant. Don't get me wrong - mediocre is fine - mediocre is even good. Every town needs a decently good sushi place. And ever since Murasaki closed, I think AJ's has filled that role. They offer all the traditional rolls, teriakis, tempuras etc., and everything I have tried has been quite good. I think they have especially good miso soup. Personally, I find their bento boxes or lunch roll combos to be my lunch go-to.

My wife and I love AJs. The service is great even when they are slammed on Friday nights with unlimited sushi. They know how to get you a drink and snacks. The king crab is delicious and always fresh and I love the Japanese style oysters as well.

We always go to the Suffern location and we love it. The Nyack location is recently opened and it's great. The sushi is fresh and the all you can eat menu includes lots of sushi options and lots of kitchen items as well!! They also offer great seafood pots ( lobster is my favorite), and a very cool appetizer menu! The service is super! A great addition to Nyack!!

Absolutely cannot says enough about this place. They are EXTREMELY accommodating. The manager Jennifer greeted us with the warmest of welcomes. We were ordering take out Because we had a bad experience at another restaurant and my fiancee was hungry. We told her and she apologized - how sweet is that?! We spoke to get about dietary restrictions she walked is through what they can offer and how they Could modify they dishes. She mentioned if there were some ingredients we saw on the menu they would make anything we requested. They are extremely reasonably priced. They went as far as to bag the vegetarian items separate from others. Would definitely recommend. They offer sushi as well and have a whole Asian menu!

We've been wanting to try for a long time, So we stopped in for a late lunch and got the snow crabs & mussels with potato and corn. Sauce on the side! And it was really pretty simple & satisfying. We'll be back!

I've been to several boils and this place is a MUST. Everything we had was delicious , Cajun fries , Cajun edamame , the boil shrimp and mussels with their special sauce . Then we were given ice cream on the house and it was the perfect way to end the night with something sweet . I would recommend Ajs to anyone around the neighborhood.
