Food depends on what you order. They are INCREDIBLE with things like Mai fun and Lo Mein, and their pork dumplings are unusually full and meaty (though the ones their last cook made were even better). But a lot of the main courses are take or leave and the "dim sum" could knock you over with how heavy on soy sauce They make it.Staff is okay, but a bit distant and preoccupied.And, there is no nice way to say it, the place is sort of dingy/grubby.

I've now been to a few local Chinese takeout places and overall this is my current favorite. The place ain't much to look at inside -- kinda sparse and bare, but more importantly the portions are generous and the prices are fair for what you get. I first tried the chicken egg foo young and it was very good (although I did add just a little low-sodium soy sauce to give a slight flavor boost but not a biggie). I also got the hot n sour soup that was also quite good if not the best I've had, but it's still very passable and I still order it with every meal. Next I tried another staple -- chicken and broccoli -- and I have to say it's excellent and rivals some of the best I've had from pricier/fancier Chinese restaurants. The chicken is moist and tender, the mix of chicken and broccoli is spot on, and the brown sauce is very flavorful and ties the whole dish together perfectly. Very impressed thus far I tried the general tsao's chicken yesterday and this is where things finally went south -- it was not good. The sauce was good but the chicken was so dry and tough it was virtually inedible, and despite this being a large order it had only three pieces of broccoli (I was told it should've had six pieces but even that woulda been kinda lame). I ended up bringing it back (which I've never done before) and exchanged it for the chicken and broccoli that was again excellent. So the bottom line seems to be that China Taste can vary from great to poor depending on the dish, but as my admittedly limited experience skews more to the great at this point I'm willing to stick with them and try other dishes (a beef dish will be next), and I still prefer them to the alternatives I've tried around here thus far.

I did not eat here. Beware! Actual price charged is more than 10% higher than price posted on menu board. I asked about the incorrect price when the cashier rang it up, and she said "Those prices are years old. The current price is in our printed menu." I told her I was really upset that they would display prices that are years out of date. I walked out and I refuse to give my business to a store that displays such misleading prices!

Let me tell you. I am a foodie. I’m from New York City, where arguably the best Chinese Food restaurants are found. We’ve living in the Nyack area for over 5 years now. We searched, and searched, for a spot that reminded us of the food we enjoyed, and we found this place. Let me tell you, they don’t miss! My family vistis from Manhattan, Bronx, and Yonkers, and China Taste is their go-to! That says a lot! For pick up, or delivery, they are the best! ??????

Do not go here ! Food has some funky odor ! It's slimy and nasty . Yuck! And the lady behind the counter is even nastier than the food they serve . Avoid this place at all cost .
