Prohibition River opened here in Nyack in 2014. It is absolutely one of my go to stops when I want a great burger , incredible fries, and their homemade ketchup is incredible. All their food is delicious and the owner makes you feel welcome. Totally fun place to relax and have a great meal.Kid-friendliness: Totally family oriented.Wheelchair accessibility: Straight shot inside to tables.
We've been coming here for many years, but this was our first time back since covid, and boy did we miss this place.Everything is always so on point, with the food being absolutely delicious.Will definitely be back!!!

Very rude FOH staff, came In last Saturday afternoon. Place wasn’t packed at all had many tables open. Hostess or maybe a waiter, a male standing in the front, tried to sit us on elevated platform. Which we couldn’t take because my sister is wheelchair bound. Instead of giving us a wait time he told us no and that we had to sit there or nowhere. Another family walks in behind us, and were sat right away in a different section. No reservation or anything. Very disappointing. Would not come back

The place we originally wanted to go was packed and saw this restaurant next to it with no wait. I’m grateful the restaurant was busy cause we hit a gold mine at this place! The ambiance is a modern sleek feel and the bartender was very hospitable. The bartender was informative about what they were out of. Prohibition has very good selection of beers that we throughly enjoyed.Okay onto the food, it is a 10/10 with the wings (gluten free) with the Alabama white BBQ sauce on the side; wings fried and seasoned perfectly honestly didn’t really didn’t the sauce. I ordered the Prime Rib French Dip and is one of my favorite dishes now; bread was fantastic, ribeye seasoned well and the au jus dipping was packed with flavor and the fries that came with it was one of the best ones I’ve had in awhile.*service was 3.8 due a host/hostess being nonexistent or even server helping us being seated so that’s why we decided to sit at the bar. Then the bartender was friendly and served us well.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free

I took my daughters for New Years Day, our first time visiting and we had a very nice time, the fries were no longer hot when all the food came out together. The dishes that were hot, were delicious and of course they ordered dessert. We walked to the river afterwards to enjoy the view of the Tappan Zee.
Love the ketchup, it tastes homemade but it could very well be Sir Kensington. Great atmosphere and great burgers.

Elevated pub food with good spirit selection, though I didn't try the cocktails, but it didn't seem like the bartender was a mixologist. The draft selection was limited. Sat at the bar and the service was good. Seemed like a nice spot to hang out, though I could also see it getting packed.

Stopped in on a quiet Monday afternoon simply because they had soup on the menu. It did not disappoint, I had both the tomato and french onion and both rocked. I could have eaten another of each. Even though this place has tons of whiskey, the bartender made me a really good gin martini, he knew his stuff. Lots of space inside with a large bar. Everything on this menu looked good, I do wish they had some kind of happy hour deals for Mon-Wed though!
