They employ students with special needs to help with the baking which is wonderful. They also have pop up events in and around Rockland and Bergen.

They catered our company event, I wish I hadn’t been so demure and gone back for seconds! The cheesecake with the cookie crust on the top AND bottom was inspired! Perfect cream to crust ratio. Great service.

My experience with this bakery in Rockland County was okay. The staff were kind to me when I visited this place. The young adults bake in the kitchen every day til 2 pm and the bread was delicious. I'm having an interview with this bakery in the future but I don't think I'm working all day at the bakery. Overall, Rising Above Bakery is a good bakery to volunteer or have lunch.

Truth is, I’ve tried to go to this place twice while it was apparently open, but the doors have been locked both times, so I’m kind of frustrated and don’t know when it’s actually open? I’m giving it five stars just because the idea is so great that there’s no reason not to, but I still want to actually experience it myself!

My first time at this bakery and I pre-ordered a lot of different things. The maple pecan scones are amazing. Highly recommend. I love home made crackers and if you do too, do not miss the spelt crackers. I also thought the rye bread was top notch. Everything we got was good but those are the highlights. I will be back for sure. Lovely service and great space.
