We went to The Sand Bar on 8-3-25 to celebrate my cousin’s birthday, and while we were there, we spent $110 on shots and drinks. Not even 10 minutes into being inside the bar, security allowed one of their friends to come in with a fire extinguisher and start spraying it throughout the bar and directly on people eating and drinking.
This is extremely toxic — inhaling the chemicals from a fire extinguisher can cause respiratory issues — and our drinks, which we paid for, were completely ruined. The staff made no effort to stop the person or to address the situation.
This is unacceptable, unsafe, and highly unprofessional. Not only did we lose money on our drinks, but our health and safety were put at risk. I will not be returning and would not recommend this place to anyone.

My friend forgot to specify what size she wanted and asked for a kids and the worker slammed the ice cream in the trash and filled up the kids not even half way and then slammed into the sprinkles and on the counter. Complete immature reaction and made a little girl cry! I never had any bad experiences at this place however this worker with black hair and long eyelashes ruined my friends night!

I really liked the Ocean Beach FI Sand Bar. The staff were so accommodating. The food was good and the drinks were made so well.
The two bands we stayed for were excellent. We will be back soon!

I absolutely love it here, the macaroons are great and the frozen hot chocolate is top notch! The ice cream flavors are amazing and they let you taste as many as you want!
