“This place hands down has the best pizza in all of fire island, I tried to order a slice however a personal pie was the only option. When I paided 20 dollars, who knew I was in for such a treat. As jake(whom is a very fine gay gentlemen) crushed my pizza in the dough smasher, my mouth was watering as the edges of slowly protruded around. Then make sure to ask for gay jakes special sauce, wow, absolutley delicious, as he smeared it on the pizza, then put it in the rotating brick oven I could only think of the memories this pizza would have. Eventually jake(whom is gay) finished my pizza, and wowzers, the correct mixture of moistness, soft cooked perfect inside, with the rough exterior, it was perfect and slide down my throat in an instance. Spectacular job Dockside pizza, and you to jake(who is a kind gay gentleman).”

“On the advice of a friend who regularly visits Fire Island, our family of eight, including a four-year-old and an infant, had an amazing dinner experience at Albatross tonight. I was somewhat apprehensive because the restaurant's Google rating was lower than that of another restaurant where we had had a disappointing lunch the first day of our stay. So I wanted to write my five-star review as soon as possible.

Our positive experience began when we dropped by during the afternoon to get the hostess's advice on how to procure a table for eight people -- without a reservation! -- on a busy Saturday night. She told us that if we came before 6:00 they would probably be able to accommodate us.

This is exactly what happened. When we arrived we were immediately seated at a comfortable table near the window. The attentive waitstaff quickly took our drink orders and, shortly thereafter, our meal orders.

I was worried that our small children might become difficult while we ate two courses (starters and a main course). However, our server brought our starters quickly, and the main course soon after clearing our dishes from the first course. The timing was perfect!

The food was perfect, too. I enjoyed my New England clam chowder, one of the best versions I've tasted. The table shared top-notch oysters, steamers, fried calamari, and Buffalo wings. Our mains, which included grilled fish, linguine with white clam sauce, and penne with vodka source and grilled shrimp, were uniformly excellent, with quality ingredients and preparation. For example, the grilled broccoli that accompanied my barramundi was so flavorful that it transcended the norm for this standard vegetable.

With our meal we enjoyed a bottle of white wine at a fair price.

This review may sound too favorable to be true, but it accurately describes our experience. I recommend Albatross wholeheartedly.”

“This gem is a stones throw from the Ocean Beach ferry. My friends and I make sure we visit here anytime when we're looking to people watch, catch a game, or waiting to board. They have all the settings needed to enjoy your stay on FI. Staff is very attentive. I think it was the manager, Darren, made sure to check on us. We recently had with the Cubano and the Baja shrimp tacos. It was a tasty and proportionate.”

“This is my favorite type of food, and this place is #1 in every way. The owner is very nice, great customer service, always asks if I'd like a sample. My go to is combo over rice with a chopped pita. Every piece of the dish is excellent and I can tell they put their heart and soul into the crafting of the dishes. I already love the place, but when I learned they do not use any seed oils (or any oil at all) along with whole-grain basmati rice, I decided to leave a review. This food is delicious and GOOD FOR YOU! Highly recommend 10/10.”
