“I ordered superbowl catered food from Riley Fibbers in East Islip. The whole process was seamless. I placed my order earlier in the week, paid, and was asked what time I'd like to pick my order up. When I arrived to pick up my order they had a server in charge of all the to go orders and everything was ready and waiting. All trays, and containers were clearly labeled. The portions were great and all the food was delicious. I frequent this location often knowing the large range of drinks and beer on tap, the owners and employees are great and pleasant, and all their food including their specials are always delicious! Go check them out, there are 2 locations in East Islip and Selden.”

“What a find! When a little snow scares off lesser cafes from opening, Hometown pulls up the slack. Old school rugged mindsets and hearty meals for more than reasonable prices.I'm glad my usual breakfast stop was closed, Hometown is my new favorite!Eggs bacon toast and coffee done right. Came out fast after ordering. You cant go wrong.Fabulous service. I noted everyone knew customers names as they entered. That is a great sign. It was like being at an aunts home or at Grandma's.Cozy place with a fireplace going too!Forget the diners, hometown is the perfect stop.”

“I've lived in the area for years and never been inside this place until two weeks ago. The inside of the establishment has this classy old-school charm about it. It was a tiny bit confusing because they had the podium in the front by the door and the sign on it said to wait there I noticed everybody walked in anyway so I just went. Maybe they can hide that somewhere else until it's that time of the night or something? Anyway, one of my favorites slices is the grandma slice and I had to try theirs because it was suggested over and over to me by many people. So after finally trying one slice, I ended up buying a whole pie and taking it home. Yes, it's a tiny bit expensive in comparison to the other places locally but the quality of pie is worth the extra money. If you want to be taken back in time and enjoy a great slice then come here.”

“So happy we found this place. Were always looking for great Pizza nice crust not too thick. So many different choices always ready & the specialty rolls, capellini cakes are so delish.. and everything is a fair price especially for the good quality you get.They give back alot to those whom may need help as well and that means something to have a business give back to the community. Were not even local but drive over every week for our take out & always pop in when we are passing through.Everyone's always friendly and counter help always knows whats out so they are helpful to suggest thigs to try..”

“Placed order for small catering party. had penne a la vodka, chicken franchaise and a salad (their Italian dressing was awesome). All was so delicious, the sauce on the chicken I could not get enough of. everything was perfect!! Will definitely have them cater our future parties.”

“We were promptly shown to our table and the chef/owner came over to welcome us. The passion for his food was evident. The lobster bisque was highly recommended in the reviews and they were 100% right. The best I've had with big lumps of lobster meat. Everything else was as delicious and enjoyed by everyone. “Love this little coffeehouse. Cozy and great staff. I didn't love the ham & cheese croissant (greasy and soggy) but I will order something else next time. Coffee was solid. I actually prefer this smaller location over the bigger Bay Shore location. Nice options. I just chose poorly.”

“Ice cream here is very good. I feel prices are fair. Alittle less expensive than the OTHER ice cream place in East islip. Gets very crowded on Tuesdays because it's their buy one get one day. Shop local ”

“Always a nice time when I go with the family. So many options and the customer service is awesome. Only wish they would clean up the tables outside. They are old and rusty. And preferably get some that can withstand the elements. Sometimes prefer to go to the ronkonkoma location just to be able to sit down and enjoy without needing to rush back home because the the outdoor seating isn’t really clean.”

“Best crumb bun ever, but the rolls are small. Didn’t notice until I got back to Mi. and was making egg sandwich’s. Next time I will get the rolls at Pat’s.”

“Happy to report the All American roadside hamburger stand is not dead. It’s alive and well in Islip. The friendly staff is up Serving no frills burgers, chicken sandwiches, dogs and sides in an unassuming road site location this place sparks up instant nostalgia. The food is simple and affordable and family friendly. They have limited seating inside and additional seating outside which is great when the weather is warmer. The perfect place to take the kids after baseball practice for a burger and a delicious milkshake. The shakes and the root beer floats should not be missed. This spot is a neighborhood gem!!!”

“East Islip Carvel is very good compared to other local Carvels. The quality of the softserve ice cream is very good almost like a custard, and has not diminished over the years, like other Carvels. Would recommend.”
