“Was out here in Central Islip on business, staying at a Courtyard by Marriott, sans car, not within walking distance of anything edible besides the Lean Cuisines, Hot Pockets, Doritos and Snickers in the hotel's lobby. And so, told that my delivery options consisted of 1) an Italian spot with a large menu featuring approximately 100 variations on meat and/or pasta with red sauce and mozzarella, and 2) Yong Wang, I went with the latter. And it wasn't bad! Not sure you could just willy-nilly order anything on the menu and expect to have a good time, but I spied a couple dishes (curry shrimp and Sichuan green beans) that seemed less likely to be laden with cornstarch and sugar, and they ended up being satisfying. Crucially, I splurged on the sides of chili oil and hot mustard ($0.25 apiece, lol amazing) and they amped things up in a very good way. Tl;dr Yong Wang is much better than Lean Cuisine.“

“The spareribs are outstanding as are their egg rolls (always fresh and hot not overly greasy). The Wonton soup, as well as their Hunan beef, and Hunan shrimp are both excellent. The shrimp are large and fresh, never fishy. Notably good are their vegetable lomein and moo shoo pork. My only choice for local Chinese takeout. I’ve been coming here for the last 5+ years“

“It’s hard to find a consistent Chinese food restaurant. New Century has been a go-to for my family and I for years. The food is always good, the staff is really friendly and the restaurant is clean. We have catered food and had smaller lunch specials. The food is always good. We love their wonton soup and pork fried rice.“

John walked me though the catering menu, offerings and together, we decided on several options.
