“I no longer live on Long Island so I'm unable to get food like this upstate, bonus I found queneapa's there as well. I had a medium plate of Spanish rice with beef and potatoes and bought the last bag of queneapa's they had and it was under $15 total, which is a great value in my opinion. It's over 45 minutes round trip but this is the only place that has the best salads I've tried other Delis. Just not the same. IN ADDITION barely any meat, meat not shredded as requested, barely any Lettuce and tomato and over loaded with Mayo, which again was never requested! Each hero 12 bucks. Since you close so early couldn't speak to anyone. This is my message...expect my call for a full refund. Disgusting!

UPDATE: I want to change my review. I spoke to the woman who took my order, and she, too, didn't understand how Mayo came into play. Maybe whomever made my sandwich thought it needed mayo. Who knows...Anyway, she was very apologetic and didn't hesitate to offer me a refund or 2 new heroes. We chose new heroes. The hero is that good. Shredded ham, salami, mild provolone, Lettuce, tomatoes and Italian dressing (on the side so the bread doesn't get soggy) delicious! My husband and I highly recommend it! Ty for correcting :)“

“Great place. i go before work but sometimes the dressing on the sandwich is to much and the bread starts to get wet. I would say prices are kinda high but then again i like to get extra food incase a coworker doesn't have any food or to bring home for dinner. I do wish the bagels were a bit better. The workers are nice but one time i was getting food for a coworker and me and one of the guys said "what are you doing? getting food for a date" 1. i'm single 2. Bro i was ordering a Texas chainsaw sandwich. i don’t think a girl would eat a sandwich that big loaded with nothing but beef and bacon and cheese drenched in sauce. “This place is amazing! They are compassionate and empathic. We should have more of you around.So I live in Texas, and my father in law was admitted in the hospital for a life threatening condition. I was trying to order food for family member that was taking care of my father in law in the hospital. I tried to use Uber eat but all effort was abortive.Then I google this beautiful hero place, when I called, I was told that they don’t deliver, but when I explained my situation, they told me they will take my order and they will deliver the food to the hospital.
