“The BEST deli in Smithtown. Their food is incredible. Especially the German Potato Salad. You MUST TRY IT! It's the best potato salad I've ever eaten, super unique & unlike any potato salad I've had. I will continue to come back. I got the Italian hero and it was so delicious!! “This is under new ownership and decided to try it. It is very clean and the new owners are very nice and friendly. Their breakfast sandwich tasted great and was perfectly cooked and the price was more reasonable than most other delis I have been to by a few dollars. Besides sandwich’s and typical deli salads what makes them stand out is their Korean options. I tried their Korean fried chicken and it was delicious. Definitely recommend trying it if you want something different.“

“I no longer live on Long Island so I'm unable to get food like this upstate, bonus I found queneapa's there as well. I had a medium plate of Spanish rice with beef and potatoes and bought the last bag of queneapa's they had and it was under $15 total, which is a great value in my opinion. The quality of the food was awesome. I can't wait to try more food there when I'm back visiting again. It was so hard to pick just one or two things to try.“
“I was in the mood for pernil today and googled this spot. OMG, it was so delicious and even my mother who is picky loved it. The pernil was tender and very flavorful and their yellow rice was perfectly cooked. The best part was the price! I got an order for two people of the rice, pernil, sweet plantains and a small potato salad an all I paid was $15 bucks. Will definitely be going back ??“

“This place definitely went through some changes within the last year. What does switching ownership there are some issues but now the original owner is back! With some of the original staff they are definitely back on their game. If you've ordered here from the last year and had a little bit of a let-down and decided to stop I would definitely suggest giving it another chance for sure. They did make one mistake but all's I did was called them and they were willing to make it right immediately.“

“Wonderful quality and service. Their cooked foods, particularly the soups are first rate. They have exceptional individually wrapped baked goods. The sandwiches are made well with the usual Boars Head and they do not skimp on portion. The star of the deli is the wonderful breads. The rye is marble and delicious. This is the best deli Ive been to aside from Kitchen Cabaret on Glen Cove Rd. The only problem is the DAMN PICKLE ...I cant stand pickle flavor near my sandwhich. No matter how emphatic I am, I still get that damn pickle wrapped in the second piece of paper 50% of the time. I have gotten catering from them many times. Very good. Food is good and they wrap , label nicely. They close early as most deli's do ..... why not provide delivery of DINNER at the end of the day? I certainly would love to call in and have soup and a sandwich for me my husband, and a salad of hot food for my kids dropped off at the end of the day BEFORE I have to worry about dinner.“

“This is a takeout restaurant, but you can sit inside if necessary. I ordered the Poisson Frit, Peas & Rice, Plantain and was very happy with the food & service. The food was ready in good time and well made. The Poisson Frites was crispy, well seasoned, and fresh - cooked perfect. The rice and plantain were delicious and not too oily. The service was pleasant and they give you a nice portion for the price. Would recommend and will be eating here again.“

“Great for BECs and coffee/tea. Roast beef is always med-rare to rare which is perfect. Side salads are excellent. Hope this deli never changes a thing, it's our go to for BECs on the weekends. The only bad experience we ever had in dozens of visits is we got ham that was slightly sour and the ends were hard. Someone didn't realize the ham went bad that day I guess but other than that we never have any issues with Neighbors deli.“

“I can't say enough great things about salpinos. When walking in on a Saturday the line alone will tell you how much people enjoy their food. Don't let the line deter you away. They're fast! The zucchini frittelli is my favorite side dish. My husband loves their chicken meatballs with escarole. If I'm with my kids they'll give them a cookie (no charge)! Great Italian food market. Highly recommend!“
