One of the most underrated restaurants on Fire Island. Service is great. Best rocket fuel on island in my option. Seared tuna amazing. Crayfish dip fantastic. Ribs fall off bone. Blackened mai mai was really good loved the rub on it. Will be back

Some people find a simple pleasure in watching as events progress. I am not one of those individuals and found watching table after table arrive after me and subsequently order, receive food and leave as I watched breadless from afar quite irritating. After a lengthy 3 hour we were greeted with our appetizers arriving with our meals, the skimpiest taco I have ever seen and 1/2 a rack of ribs assured at ordering from our waitress to be a full rack. Some food was cold, others just wrong and the manager seemed to not care in the slightest as he told us “I have business to attend to” as he walked away. As my parents once said “vote with your dollar” but with the included 20% gratuity it seems as though alternative action will be needed. In terms of restaurants, good thing that ocean beach only has a handful, as any real competition would surely run this mismanaged joke of an establishment into the ground.

- [x] Had dinner at bocce tonight. Probably the most regrettable decision I have made in a while. We started off ordering drinks...20 minutes after we arrived. After that we sat parched for another 15 minutes before the drinks came, then we had to ask for water. The water was lazily given to us in a pitcher that would only be refilled upon explicit requests. I ordered mozzarella sticks for an appetizer, and a buffalo chicken wrap as my meal. Everyone received their appetizers before their meal, however I was left awkwardly waiting for my mozzarella sticks until they finally arrived at the same time as my entree. However even the first round of appetizers came after an hour. I decided to request that the sticks be removed from the tab, and the manager proceeded to tell me that I was lucky to even have my friends pasta removed from the tab, which tasted like rubber and she ate only one bite from. He refused to understand that the value of the appetizer is lost when it comes the same time as the meal and is cold by the time I even had enough room to eat it. The manager explained that since 3 of the mozzarella sticks were eaten, he couldn’t refund us for the meal, and said that we have the option to bring the rest home, even though everyone knows that mozzarella sticks are hard after 10 minutes. My buffalo chicken wrap also was served with grilled chicken, no blue cheese and a splash of bottled hot sauce, even though the menu stated that there would be buffalo chicken fingers and blue cheese. This restaurant places no priority on customer service, and even has an arbitrary rule stating that if there is a party of over 6 people, 20% gratuity is presumed. Either they gave us subpar service because they knew they would receive a good tip regardless, or they have bad service in general. Either way, its not worth finding out. DONT GO TO THIS RESTAURANT.

$4 Tacate special, can't beat that. Had the NFL package and took requests if you wanted to watch a specific game, but there are only 4 TV's so get there early if you want a TV reserved!
